One of the worst movies I've seen
15 October 2022
As the title says: without doubt one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Can't really think of any positives, terrible script, bad acting, bad cinematography, story barely made any sense... It's like it was written by someone who has never met another human being and who's only seen one or two bad 80s b-movies. You can't even say it's so bad it's kinda fun - it lacks any tension, horror or suspense because it's filmed so badly. I've been to the place where it's shot - Cambarro and it's a really atmospheric place, perfect for a horror movie but the people who made this managed to sap all of the atmosphere and make an absolute stinker of a movie.

By far the best comedy series of 2022
30 March 2022
A brilliantly written full of both smart jokes and dumb jokes. But by far the best thing about it is the character development and drama writing. Series 1 really sets up series 2, a great series that has been underappreciated and not had enough promotion. 10/10.

Infuriating and badly written
27 January 2021
This starts off well with the first two episodes and goes downhill from episode 3 onwards. The final episode is just infuriating, needlessly stupid and random decisions from the characters make no sense, its then neatly wrapped up in the last 10 minutes. There is the basis of a good story but in the end it's ridiculous, makes no sense and all of the drama is made by making the characters do silly things. Could have been good but was actually terrible.

First Season is Pretty Good
6 July 2020
The first season is pretty good but the protagonist Cardinal is annoying. Hes arrogant, mopes around and seems to think he knows everything but doesn't actually do anything - it's his female partner that solves the crucial parts. He constantly mumbles and acts as if he's the only cop who gets anything done but he's actually pretty useless. Annoying. Apart from this it's pretty good if you're in the mood for a snowy scandi noir type of series.

So, so bad
13 June 2020
I'm a Spike Lee fan but this was just terrible in every way. Even the great actors cant do anything with such a terrible script. Everything about it is amateurish, the story makes no sense, the characters are so unbelievable and cartoonish that you can't feel anything for them. I honestly can't emphasize how surprisingly bad this is. Until the 90 minute mark I thought the film was going to reveal itself to be a satire or something then I realized that we were supposed to be taking the whole thing seriously. From there it just gets worse and worse. The good parts of the movie like the message and info about black soldiers in Vietnam is undercut by the awful delivery. If you like Spike Lee avoid this and rewatch blackkklansman or do the right thing...

First half is ok, second half is truly awful
22 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I had high hopes for this film and the first half was ok if not without its flaws. The tensions within the crew and overcoming problems were somewhat interesting even if the crew were unprofessional considering they were "humanities last chance". However, the second part where the superhuman burned man comes aboard is more or less unwatchable! It makes no sense and you can barely tell what is happening. When I can follow the action i just don't care whether they save earth or not. I don't know who made the choice to go in that direction but it makes the movie a complete waste of time. Avoid.

Surprisingly good!
7 April 2020
After reading the reviews I was expecting this to be terrible but it was actually pretty good. Nice camera work, a good lead performance and good tension. The only thing that let it down for me was the last 10 minutes which is when the story lost its way.

Still, as a big horror fan this was better than 90% of the dross that's released.

Give it a go and you will probably be surprised!

Truly Awful
28 July 2017
This is a truly awful film - the only good part is Reynolds performance.

It starts off with some promise then just deteriorates into a muddled mess.

The story makes no sense and is just infuriating - the police suspect the father immediately without investigating any leads then 8 years later they still suspect him without any evidence! Well, apart from the fact that the detective is "reminded of something from his past" Jesus.

Its full of clichés and some of the lines that the actors have to deliver made me cringe. In the end I was laughing, its so bad its funny.

The bad guys are like something from a cartoon - but to be honest the actors do a decent job with a truly awful script.

Honestly, don't waste your time.
