Life to the Limit (2022)
Provides a greater understanding to Westerners of how we got to where we are
An interesting perspective that shows how we got to the 2022 Russian full scale invasion from events in 2014.
The impact of this extremely long conflict on the country of Ukraine and her people is one that the west should see in order to have a much more full understanding of the current conflict.
This also lead me to watch Winter on Fire to understand the Revolution of Dignity and has helped me understand what my Ukrainian friends have explained to me over the past 2 years about their experiences from Maidan to present.
The format is one that is not expected from a documentary, but works.
Please watch this it is important.
20 Days in Mariupol (2023)
MUST be seen
This is one of the most important productions to be seen about Russia's full scale invasion of Ukraine. We have all seen the footage in western media, but to see what it took for the truth to come out needs to be seen.
What this and many other cities and villages have been subjected to for Putin's quest for power is an important record for posterity.
It is very hard to watch, but comparing that to what the population lived and is living through is miniscule.
When I saw this in the theater, I never saw an auditorium empty so quietly.
The Oscar win this year is well deserved and hat's off to the entire team.
