Foundation: Creation Myths (2023)
Season 2, Episode 10
9/10
Foundation season 2 delivers.
15 September 2023
Great Season 2 and a little more faithful to the books (excluding of course the empire and Gaal/Salvor arcs), having a mix of the books arcs of Bel Riose in secound Novel and Foundation arc of Hober Mallow of Book one.

The Foundation arc story it´s some more faithful to the book than first season;because like the books, the structure of galactic spirit and religion created by the foundation in peripheral worlds exists in the books, and the clergyman Poly Verisof it´s an important religious character in the first book in this religious part created by foundation and like the books the Foundation is growing much in power and confronting the empire. And i Liked of the portrayal of Hober Mallow and Bel Riose and your storylines in season 2 ; Similar to the book,Mallow is as an astute merchant and a little rascal like Han Solo (but Mallow himself was the inspiration for the creation of Han Solo in Star Wars by George Lucas) and Bel Riose unlike the book it´s not young, but Ben Daniels (a Very Underrated actor from shows also underrated like The Exorcist) make a very human portrayal of Riose and at the same time a very vingative and rebel general against the empire like in the books. I Know that the fate of the two are very different from the first two books, but the live actions versions of the two have more charisma and personality than the book versions.

Overall, season 2 it´s better than season 1 that´s was only ok, but because of empire arc that even dont´exist in the books, because the other two arcs are weak (Salvor and Gaal), but i feel that foundation arc, Gaal Dornick & Salvor Hardin and empire arc are balanced in quality this season, especially the part of Mallow and Terminus against the Empire.

And for the last i praise the entire cast and the characters who even exists in the novels, like Brother Constant (a female priest of the religion of foundation with Poly Verisof) and specially the all cast of Genetic Dinasty arc, because meanwhile don´t exist in the books this arc it´s very very good and saved season one from being bad but actors like Terrence Mann (brother Dusk), Laura Birn (the android Demerzel) and of course Lee Pace as the menacing and charismatic emperor Brother Day/Cleon were the peak of season1 and i agree that he was the best character and acting of season 1 and now in season 2 meanwhile Day(Pace) it´s again one the best characters of season 2, the same season have also great portrayals and characters in much more numbers that season 1.

I Think David Goyer (The Solo Showrunner) evolved very much from season 1 to 2 but i think that lke in many shows the season 1 was only to introduce the things, concepts, universe and the characters and the real thing was to happen in season 2 and i was right, season 2 delivers.

I can´t wait for season 3 (show renewed) for the Long awaited Mule Arc with Bayta Darrel, her husband Toran Darrell, the scientist Ebling Miss and The Clown of street Called Magnificus and the fans of Foundation consider the Mule Arc ´´The Empire Strikes Back´´of the Foundation saga, both in Quality both in tragedy in story.

And for the final note: Isaac Asimov would liked the apple show(especially secound season), even with the changes and i think that he also liked the idea of a genetic dinasty.

Foundation: In Seldon's Shadow (2023)
Season 2, Episode 1

I understand the hate.
15 July 2023
I really understand the anger and hate from fans of the book series (that i also read all 7 novels from Asimov) as it is not as faithful, especially in the genetic dynasty part and very expanded roles fro characters who only screen by few chapters like Gall Dornick .

But it as a standalone series is great and I see it in the same way as they adapted for tv Handmaid tale from Margaret Atwood on Hulu Streaming. Both are adaptations that take the books and add a lot of new material and even modify them a lot without taking away their essence. And both are very good series as a standalone live action midia.

Mangold maked a good job. Not heard these trolls of youtube.
1 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It was clearly better than the fourth film. A film that does not take risks in plot, but it is well made and without exaggerations and the story is decent. I would give it 7.5, the average being 7, not 6. People are negative without even seeing it because of the girl in the film, the result of these MAGA Morons and sexists on Youtube, and there are several of them on the internet. The woman in the film does not take on the role of Indiana Jones and the character is not replaced.

The big problem with the fifth movie is that HE DOESN'T TAKE ANY RISKS, it's a well-done normal Indiana Jones adventure with lots of new characters and 2 of the old ones and a mention of another 2 of the other movies. He doesn't risk as much as the even violent and even dark second film or the participation of a second protagonist like HIS FATHER in 3. I would even say that 4 risked and dared more by putting Aliens and strong Sci Fi in the plot, but 4 got lost in these attempts.

Go watch in cinemas, it´s a good movie and respect the legacy of Indy and their creators, Lucas and Spielberg.

The Sandman (2022– )
9/10
Bootered by LGBT characters ? They exist in the comic, non reader.
14 August 2022
The sandman comic it´s one of the most creatives, , visionaries and beautiful comics of all time.

Thanks to Author Neil Gaiman(the same of Good Omens ,American Gods, and Stardust).

The Netflix adaptation it´s a almost literal adaptation, with little changes who don´t change the sense and situations.

But the conservatives are Bottered by LGBT characters ? Little non reader , they all exists in comics.

The first volume(preludes and nocturnes) who are episodes 1-6 in the adaptation don´t have these LGBT+ themes, but the secound arc (Doll´s House) who are episode 7-10 on netflix are full of this.

A comic from 1988 to 1996 who was the first of DC to make themes about these themes about LGBT+ , much before this was a thing for the right in midia.

Because of that was a comic ahead of his time.

Neflix adaptation it´ great. But of course, have the author himselg(Gaiman) as co showrunner.

And for conservatives and MAGA supporters, go read the comics. That´s all the things of the show in graphic novels.

Dune (2021)
9/10
Uncultured people who are not informed.
13 February 2022
Why do many uncultured people think this movie is a remake? It's simply a fresh take on how to adapt the greatest sci fi best seller of all time. I say this because I've read the book 3 times and it's my favorite science fiction book.

Ands the people who only watch non stop action movies like fast and dumb or comic book movies with fast rhythm are not the right people to review this type of movies, like Dune , Blade Runner , Scorsese , Kubrick movies and other ´´´´Artistic ´´´´ movies and shows.

That said, this movie makes the '84 movie an unintentional comedy. Director Denis Villeneuve did what seemed to be impossible, adapting Frank Herbert's book which is considered one of the most difficult to adapt for other media.

And the actors and actresses are great, especially the supporting actors like Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Harkonnen and Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho.

May the already announced part 2 be even more successful at the box office and be more recognized by the public and may the part 1 make more people read the book, because reading is what is missing in today's world on a large scale.

Foundation: The Leap (2021)
Season 1, Episode 10
10/10
It's a big web.
19 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's a series that you have to watch until the last episode of each season, because it works like a big movie, where all the webs of the plot connect to the end.

Like the original trilogy of books of Foundation, the first season doesn't have a fixed line of narrative and goes back in time a few times. And all the narrative points connect in the end forming a cohesive story.

It's a series that works like the adaptation of Handmaid Tale on Hulu, where both adaptations are based on famous science fiction books, but introduce many and many new concepts, plots and characters that are not in the books. And that doesn't hurt, as both series work in their own way.

Jared Harris was the Perfect Hari Seldon. But who stole the show was Lee Pace with his Cleon, Emperor of the Galaxy. Just as Rutger Hauer steals the show every time he breathes in the first Blade Runner, Lee Pace steals everything when he appears, even if it's only for a few seconds. But all the actors turned out well in the end, but I still prefer Harris and Pace as the highlights of this season.

Let the merchant Hober Marlow and Empire general Bel Riose (already confirmed) come next season and if the cosmos wants the Mule, Bayta/Toran and Han Pritcher in season three, who will potentially adapt everyone's favorite part in Foundation, the Mule .

Foundation: The First Crisis (2021)
Season 1, Episode 9
10/10
This show is like the handmaid's tale series in terms of adaptation.
12 November 2021
In the penultimate episode of the first season, it is noticed that The Apple Foundation series works like Hulu Streaming's adaptation of another famous fiction book, Handmaid's tale.

The work Handmaid's tale is another fiction classic adapted by streaming and as a foundation, it has its story well extended and modified to build a series of 10 episodes.

And in both cases the two series work, even though they are different from the book and only take the basic ideas and introduce several new concepts and stories.

Funny that no one complained about the Handmaid tale adaptation, but strongly criticizes the Apple Foundation.

Both series create new concepts and invented parallel stories that are not in the top books.

This shows not as a negative, as Handmaid's tale is acclaimed on Hulu and has won several important emmys.

The same applies to the apple foundation. It´s an amazing series in its own way.

Foundation: The Missing Piece (2021)
Season 1, Episode 8

The Best and touching episode yet.
5 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Even for book purists, you have to recognize that the show is great in its own way. Today's episode was one of the most touching of the sci fi genre I've ever seen, especially on the part of Emperor Cleon and his assistant Demerzel.

Regarding the Seldon and Gaal part, I got one thing. For those who don't see sense in Gall's ability to Predict the Future, it may be that Seldon sees it as a way to build and guide the psychic inhabitants of the second foundation, which will be explored in coming seasons. And on the basis of the second heleicon foundation, I'll bet $1 that it's just another Seldon bluff, because whoever knows the original material knows where the second foundation is. And I'm also betting a dollar that Seldon predicted Gaal's every move in this episode.

This episode proves that despite having several changes in relation to the books (which was expected, which Asimov already agreed) that the show is brilliant and needs to follow every episode to see that it ties everything together at the end.

Foundation: Mysteries and Martyrs (2021)

Finally the big and intriguing answers.
29 October 2021
The seventh episode was certainly as good as the pilot, as the show finally starts to show its circle closing and giving good and intriguing answers from the circle of the first season.

For those who complained that the series was not going anywhere, this episode finally shows what the series came to. Giving lots and lots of answers.

And for books purists, sincere question:

Did you really want the first book to be literally adapted? Because it's the driest and shortest in terms of character development. And if they literally adapted as in book 1, it would be a maximum of 5 episodes, because the stories are very short within the first novel. So what I mean is, yes, a lot of changes are needed.

Foundation: Death and the Maiden (2021)
Season 1, Episode 6
10/10
It's getting better and better.
22 October 2021
The first book is very dry in terms of character development, and on the show the writers decide to put more of that in and fans get nervous.

The First Foundation is not a ´´Dune´´ in terms of characters as it is more about concepts and ideas than characters and situations.

If they literally adapted the first book, there would only be 4 or at most 5 episodes left and it would be mostly just dialogues and that wouldn't go down well in a 10-episode series. . So adding adventure, new concepts and lots of new characters is really necessary. Eveb Asimov Agreed that if they adapted Foundation, many changes would be necessary.

This episode was excellent and showed everything from an electrifying adventure in Terminus to religious lessons on the part of Emperor Cleon (Lee Pace) .

PS:What actress it´s T´Nia Miller. She plays the priestess Halima and simply stole this episode with her speeches.

Foundation: Upon Awakening (2021)
Season 1, Episode 5
10/10
Best episode of first season since the pilot.
15 October 2021
This was the best episode since the first of season 1 and finally it´s giving some and great answers.

The series is amazing and is the Avatar of the shows, because the visual , effects and scale. Never saw a most beautiful series and fanatical fans and criticals are negating the ratings only they don´t understand that the main trilogy it´s dry in therms of characters development and are great books because the ideas and concepts, not for the characters. And before complain about i never read the novels, yes i read all 7 foundations novels (including the two sequels and two prequels of the trilogy)

Even the author of Foundation novels (Isaac Asimov) agreed that some changes would be required if they adapted foundation. And the show it´s faithful in main plotline, themes and messages, but with more character development and more addictions in the universe like new scientific stuffs and new characters, because let´s face it, the first book of foundation it´s very dry in characters and it´s more about ideas and scientific concepts. The fans should be grateful to have new material for the characters, but they are fanatical who only want adaptations frame by frame and adaptations don´t work on this way.

Foundation: Barbarians at the Gate (2021)
Season 1, Episode 4
9/10
Great Episode.
8 October 2021
Below what i think of the series so far with these 4 episodes:

If they adapted literally the first book, the characters would be uni-dimensional and very, very boring.

What Makes the first book great are his ideas, world and universe constructions and the scientic stuffs, like psicho-Story; and the stories in first novel are very short to create a series. And because this, i expected many changes in the adaptation, specially in a series with 10 episodes. So i expected much more new material in characters like Gaal Dornick, Salvor Hardin and many many Others. And the result it´s beautiful and great, they expand the Foundation in a much larger universe and a mix of the 2 preludes of Asimov.

So yes, the series it´s great, and considering that is the irregular David Goyer as Showrunner, the Show it´s a great surprise.

P. S: If you is still pissed with the series because principally of Gender Swaps of some characters, like Demerzel or Gaal or Salvor Hardin, please go watch american football, because if you want only man, watch male sports. The first book almost don´t have women, so it´s acceptable these changes.

Foundation: The Mathematician's Ghost (2021)
Season 1, Episode 3
9/10
For god sake, all the scenes from the first book are in the show, they just put new concepts and new sequences that don't compromise the plot of the books.
1 October 2021
I expected changes and new concepts in this apple adaptation, because the stories in the first books are to short to make a series of 8 or 10 episodes. Clearly, they have to create new concepts and characters to the show.

And the new material it´s great and interesting.

And i am suprise that every scene (by far) in episodes contain all scenes of the books 1.

The first book it´s great because of your ideas, world construction and concepts, but not for character development, like Gaal or Salvor.

Yes, the series it´s great. The people of today are very fanatical about fidelity and understanding of changes in adaptations of books and comics.
