Man, this was just epic. After the slightly boring eps (barring Reach) this was back to proper awesome sci-fi!

A lot of folks have bene grumbling about this show, but as somebody who's never played the games i have to say the pacing, the character development and the overall storyline are great. And, muck like Kenobi, this season feels like it's really going to come good in the last few episodes.

Seriously, if you're reading these reviews and wondering whether to watch the show, do it. It's thrilling, at times insanely good and generally an utterly worthwhile was to spend an hour of your week!

Star Trek isn't something we can ask 'first timers' to understand with a single season. It's not something that people can pick up and run with. And... it shouldn't be.

Trek is a journey that many have been on all their life. It's passion, heroism, stoicism and more rolled into a single fantastical TV and movie series.

What made you who you are? Rewatch Star Trek and genuinely ask yourself how much your values have been shaped by its ethos.

Judging Trek on a single ep, or single season is like judging a footballer for life on his goals.

Discovery has - and continues - to pull at heartstrings, grab at emotions and ultimately captures Gene's dream of being better than we are.

This IS Star Trek.

Talk about a comeback! Kenobi was, at best, a 5 out of 10 after 4 episodes. Episode 5 gave it potential. Episode 6 knocked it clean outta the park.

This was near perfect... This was Star Wars.

If you watched the first few and thought 'nah, not for me' then persist. The pay off is more than worth it!

Wow... and not in a good way.

After the intrigue of Season 1, Season 2 has been nothing short of awful.

The penultimate episode ALMOST suggested redemption for the previous 5, but alas no.... simply a disastrous attempt to cash in on a sleeper hit first season.

And for anyone who's thinking 'You just don't get it!' trust me... i do. It's still bloody awful.

Watch the first season, enjoy its highly satisfying ending and then add it to the pile of Russian themed things you don't much care for anymore.

Season 1 was excellent. Intriguing concept, stylish execution.

Season 2 is utter dross. It didn't need to be made and this absolute car crash of storytelling could have been done in a 15 minute short.

Watch the first season and then leave it there.
