I liked it better than the first
7 October 2006
Torrente is a crude, ladies man type man of the law. I think this version was even more fun because he's in the playground of Spain, Marbella. I think if you liked the first one, you will enjoy this version even more. I've even seen the third version, and this is my favorite. If you get the Spanish sense of humor, you will enjoy this film. I would say it's definitely for machos, and the wives and the girlfriends have to ignore lots of scenes in the Torrente series. But just keep a good sense of humor about it all. It's for guys who like sexy women (quite a bit of nudity in all of the Torrente films) and very Spanish domestic sense of humor. If you've ever lived in Spain or have a Spanish husband like I do, you will understand what I mean. For example, he loves "El Fary", Real Madrid, etc. The language is very graphic as well, and it is better if you understand Castellano. It is quite hilarious if certain things don't bother you.

Winter Sonata (2002)

No doubt - this is truly the best drama ever...
26 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know when I've been moved so much. This is the love story between Kang Joon-Sang and Yujin, first as teenagers, and again as adults. The story all takes place with gorgeous winter scenery. Everything about this production is extraordinary, especially with Bae Yong Joon's acting. I enjoyed the other cast members as well. I don't think I've ever cried so much. The acting is so realistic that you can feel everything that's happening to the character. Be prepared for many twists and turns in this drama, however. It's unlike nothing you've ever seen. Themes such as loyalty to family, and also jealousy and envy are present around every corner. But it's the first love and pure love that are the most remarkable. Don't miss it. You will be forever changed.

I really enjoyed this movie...
25 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
A thrifty writer meets a coffee-shop waitress who, after becoming his roommate thanks to his father, teaches him the meaning of love and kindness. It's comical throughout, yet touching. This is the kind of movie you can enjoy over and over again, and you discover something new each time. I have watched this movie more than four times. This goes to show you that no matter where you come from, in matters of the heart, goodness and kindness and of course, love, are all that matter. My favorite scene is when they go up the mountains and pick up some teenage hitchhikers and they end up taking off with their car. I don't think I've laughed so hard. I guarantee everyone will enjoy this movie.

The Parkers (1999–2023)
This is definitely my favorite comedy show of the decade...
19 November 2005
I've seen almost all the episodes on BET, and I hope it comes out on video. I think it's the funniest show to come out in the new millennium and I wish it never ended. Fortunately, we can still see it on BET, but mark my words, it'll take its rightful place on DVD and on TV Land or Nick at Nite in the years to come. I also love Mo'Nique because she is the only role model for (BBW) big, beautiful women.

One of my favorite episodes was the Tae Bo episode, and also when Shaq came on the show. I love all of Mo'Nique and Andell's antics as well as Kim's "ka-yut" personality and marvelous singing voice. And Boo, is really hot. Worth fighting for. There are so many memorable episodes, that if you haven't been fortunate enough to see it, you must check it out. It is hilarious and loads of fun.
