Grey's Anatomy (2005– )

Mind-blowingly great, better than ER.
1 May 2006
In Grey's Anatomy, the patients are not the usual screaming people with blood everywhere. Sometimes it's a man who swallowed a handful of dolls' heads, sometimes it's a woman who can't stop having spontaneous orgasms even when she doesn't want to. Or, it's a guy who has a tumor at his pelvic area causing him to have a constant erection, and sometimes it's a man with an unexploded bomb in his body cavity. It's different, and really creative. Not at all predictable, and the quotes are clever and witty. This show really makes you long for more. It's a comedy set in a hospital with romantic flings happening all the time, so you just have to be ready for almost everything.

Very, very convincing performance

People say Jim Carrey is an over-actor.Well, he pretty much overacted in Ace Ventura, but in this movie god, he is GOOD! He played both guys as if he were two people and I almost believed that there were two of Jim Carrey. Both are distinctively different (aside from the physique)! Renee Zellweger was also good, but she didn't give the Cold Mountain performance in this one. This is a light, hilarious comedy and I think that's why it wasn't nominated for any Oscars. But if the storyline is twisted to be a bit heavy and mind-twisting (as all Oscar-winning movies are), I think Carrey would definitely bag the gold statuette for his great acting. Did the critics hate this movie? Who likes those critics anyway?

Malaysia From Another Perfect, Untested Angle. Very Honest
20 November 2005
This film is really one that touches you deep into your heart while it makes you search for answers in your head as well as it enables you to see through the borders of humanity. As much as love is the main theme that surfaces this film all along the way, it is almost vague and unseen of directly. You have to find the love in it although you know it's there. And that's just how beautiful the script was written, how unique the camera was played and how powerful the actors of this movie played their role. As effortless as their acting may seem, still they can move our feelings profoundly. You won't fall in love with this film before the end credits roll. The ending is the climax, and, for a Malay film pessimist like me, who always thought that all Malay films are a bunch of stupid romantic comedies with endings that we can predict the moment we see the starting credits, this film was simple but far from the ordinary. Extraordinary, is wonderful. Don't look at the little budget. Look at how big the effect it did to your soul. Can you name a blockbuster money-spinning Hollywood movie that makes you think of it for weeks?

Exactly.
