I'll keep this short. It was very messy in the beginning on who was involved. Then took forever to get to the first plot reveal. They could have made the story better by added more to the fun of the first plot reveal. Then the story just seemed to become a bore there.

Then come the second plot twist at the end, now that was a good one and that's the only reason I gave it another bonus's two stars. Because that was a good twist. But then it lost a star when the one mask guy managed to be outside of the bank. I don't understand how he was able to leave the bank unless because the vault was opened he was able to otherwise that plot makes absolutely no sense and it made me hate the movie.

Let me start this off by saying I've never wanted to slap a child more in my life than that little boy but this movie confused me.

Why are they there, what was the point of the boy and why did he grow so quickly? Also why was he watching the tv? What did that do to him? How come if they were there so long they didn't age at all and their hair didn't grow like the Tom had no facial hair and Gemma's hair never got any longer?

Did I miss where their cell phones went, I don't recall it ever being brought up. Also the box of food. When they were waiting For food after it disappeared they never talked about it again of the food coming back.

Didn't care for the ending.

For having a cast of many funny and known actors I thought this would be great but it was boring to me. It felt like old dudes trying to have a frat party game.

I love Josh and was excited to know Jensen Ackles was in it (for all of 2 minutes) but this felt like a knock off jackass / grown ups hybrid movie that really wasn't funny.

The best scene was Dax with the Mink and Josh getting his ass kicked in the end.

I didn't love nor hate the movie. But it didn't feel like it was a true Texas chainsaw movie to me. The characters made too many dumb decisions and too many times I had to say "Oh come on!" At the screen.

And the ending 60 seconds was just stupid. I mean we all know they like to leave the option open to keep the story going but to kill her like that was just dumb in my opinion.

I will say I loved the kills, they were nice, intense and gory and that bus kill scene was probably my favorite out of the TCM series.

There is a end credit scene but nothing happens.

The plot sounded interesting but shortly it I realized this wasn't going to be as good as it sounded.

*SPOILERS* Even if they don't believe the letters are real and that people would actually act out it why would the mother leave to go to the home of the person she got to chat, leaving her children home alone? Dumb move.

Then when the boys person shows up at the door, why would the older sister go upstairs and leave her brother all alone downstairs? Dumb move. Then why would she leave the house to go see her bf (which was very obvious they were gonna have each other) not knowing if he would pursue the actions? Dumb move.

Then when the mom shows up at the bfs house knowing her daughter is most likely in the house in danger would you sit in the car and tell a pointless story about a deer. Dumb move.

This movie was one dumb move after another. Maybe if this was directed by a real director who makes good horror/suspense movies this would have been one amazing purge knock off movie.

I gave it two stars only for the slight gore to it.
