Reservation Dogs: Dig (2023)
A Satisfying and Heartfelt Finale
I love it when a series goes out with a final episode that ties a bow on everything and this particular one did not disappoint.
I was so happy to see the return of William Knifeman who brought the right amount of comedy into this emotional episode.
I was also pleased to see Maximus included and embraced by his fellow elders despite their history.
Lastly, huge props go out to the main younger cast who hit it out of the park - especially the young lady portraying Willie Jack. It was interesting to follow the character's journey throughout the entire series.
As much as I will miss this series, I'm glad it's going out on a high.
Ugliest House in America (2022)
Retta's the Saving Grace of This Show
Let's start with the main positive aspect of this series - the hostess. I love Retta's humor and vibrant fashions. She is the main reason I continue to tune in.
Now for the drawbacks:
1) The Choosing Process - As some previous commenters have pointed out, the houses chosen for the final rounds were not necessarily the ugliest. I think they choose the cheapest/easiest to renovate.
2) The Designer - I just finished binge watching season one and was appalled by the exterior colors she chose for the "winner" - a jet black house with dark wood trim. That looked hideous. Hopefully the homeowner repainted it later. The interior decoration was much better but I had to laugh during the scene when they took the homeowner shopping on the pretense of letting her pick the tile and the designer ended up forcing her to pick something else.
Otherwise, this was a fairly entertaining program!
