On of the best films I know
9 March 2007
I zapped in this movie when I watched TV some night, and it gripped me so much I had to watch it till the end. After it, I sat there thinking about it because it fascinated me. So I went on the Internet and looked up some informations and I found out that it is based on real facts. I came across a Spanish homepage about the real crash as well as the film and read through it. All of it gave me some time thinking, I was so fascinated about it I couldn't get it off my mind. I bought the DVD and watched the film from the beginning and it impressed me so much I can't even put it into words... All the feelings are so well transferred, and the actors do a really good job. One absolutely has to have watched that movie!

A film that makes you shudder
9 March 2007
I came to watch the movie in my Spanish lesson, and as they are talking very fast, I did not understand everything they said. But what I understood was enough to make me never forget that film. It describes the struggle of the pupils for a student ticket and how the government acts against it. It starts showing students who are enjoying their time, until the plot switches and seven students are taken away into a secret prison. From there on, the viewer feels some kind of apprehensiveness, as the students are kept in cells, blindfolded and handcuffed. It is shown that they are tortured with electric shocks and the screams one hears are really nerve-racking. One cannot believe that these things all happened in Argentinia in the 70s, for it is just unbelievable that human beings can do such cruel things to kids. Still, there is a group of mothers in Buenos Aires whose children disappeared, and a square in the city reminding of those horrible ages in Argentinian history. Most of the "desaparecidos" never turned up again, and no one exactly knows what has happened to them.

Not that bad...
22 October 2006
I come from Germany and I watched alphateam a long time. I must say it isn't quite comparable with ER or some American production, but it is not bad. The characters are well arranged, and watching it, the location isn't that bad as well. I myself did not get the impression that the hospital location was made especially for that series. The plot is often really funny, and also the characters among one another act good. If one wants to see a real action hospital production, one should watch something like ER, but for the evening entertainment, alphateam is also good. If one likes hospital series, alphateam has all elements which are needed, and the laughing muscles are trained as well :-)
