Cha Cha Real Smooth (2022)
Breaks, Makes & Wakes your heart.
This film was simplicity done absolutely perfectly. My heart physically felt things whilst watching it. It's so rare to find a film that just gets it right. The acting was real, the music chosen was great and the writing of the film was genius. I know age isn't important, but to have a film like this written, directed & starred in by such a young person just makes it all the more beautiful. Put your phone in another room, turn off the lights and just experience this film. I wish I could go back and watch it again for the first time, but I can't wait to recommend it to all of the right people. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Extraction (2020)
A very well directed film.
The storyline in this film ain't anything special, It's good but not great. But saying that I really enjoyed the film as a whole. The filming style really stood out, so much so I went back and watched one of the chase scenes again straight after.
It's so hard to believe the director has only done 6 films (most of them being short films) I think he has a huge career in front of him as a director.
The acting was great and the filming locations made it film incredibly raw and real.
Worth a watch for a Friday/Saturday night Film.
The Wedding Guest (2018)
A good little watch
A good film with a different storyline to many I've seen about, easy to follow story but lots of doubting with which characters to trust etc which keeps a bit of suspense. The filming locations were fantastic and gave a really good feel to the whole film.
6 Underground (2019)
Pleasantly Surprised.
For a film I assumed would just be another cliche action film I really liked it. It felt really different to most of the modern action films released in the last few years. The storyline was good, the characters were all likeable & the actions scenes were shot in a way that were amazing to watch without being too tacky. Worth a watch especially for a Friday/Saturday night movie. (7.5/10)
Joker (2019)
Scarily Beautiful
I could not fault this movie, The role was played to absolute perfection, you can't compare It to Heath Ledgers role in Dark Knight but In a strange way it really compliments it to what he will become. The music was gripping & the story could not have been written any better, I was thinking about the film In depth for days after I couldn't shake it out of my mind. It will truly go down as an all time classic.
Cloud Atlas (2012)
Visually Striking But A Poor Film
After finishing a film I don't normally feel regret but I did in this one, I felt like wasted 3 hours of my life watching something that could just as easily been put into a 90 minute length film and even then I would have thought the film may have been okay at best. The story made no sense at all for at least 2 hours 30 minutes in, and even after that it didn't really make a great deal of sense. The small reveal towards the end wasn't even that great, it was just obvious. I really wanted to like this film because it was visually striking and contained a lot of fantastic actors/ actresses. But the story just didn't deliver In any way shape or form. I wouldn't recommend watching it unless you had truly run out of films to watch.
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)
Cleverly Gripping & immersive
Black Mirror Franchise have our done it with this one. The whole way through I was excited & confused (in the best possible way) constantly trying to pick the best storyline for myself as the viewer and also as the character. It was so cleverly made and I'm mind blown at the amount of effort that would have gone into making this film. I'll be thinking about this film in my head now for a good few days just trying to work it out.
A MUST SEE
(500) Days of Summer (2009)
Rollercoaster of emotions
I'm not sure why it took me nearly 10 years to finally watching this film. The soundtrack, the acting & the sheer quirkiness was brilliant.
The film was so cleverly made and I'd seriously put it in my top 15 after just one watch.
I couldn't stop thinking about it for days after watching it, I felt all emotions of the relationship during and after the film.
A must watch.
Modern Life Is Rubbish (2017)
A simple feel good British film
For what it was I really liked this film. It had a little bit of a slow start but I really got invested into the couples life after about 30 minutes.
It had a Fantastic soundtrack
(especially if you were born in the late 80's / early 90's).
It didn't stray to far from the main storyline, if you liked 500 days of summer you'd probably like this film.
