There are three things I hate about films:
American Accents in Period drama films. A classic example of this was in " The Man in the Iron Mask" Updated version.
Any Homophobic views from right winged American Religious groups.
Remakes of an Orignal film as mentioned above.
I tend to love any buddy films without a female love interest involved. The Americans produced many television programmes in the 1960s/1970s in which had two male characters. This, unfortunely went out of fashion in recent years, however there are a number of films recently produced that do have at least two male actors. Romance in films tends to be very boring however I am just making a general statement on this as I know there are some very good love stories in the film world. Ghost is a classic example of this.
My all time favourite films:
1 Killing fields(1984)
2 Hot Fuzz (2007)
3 Sherlock Holmes(2009)

Reviews
The Killing Fields (1984)
Spoilers ! The best film of all time
When I saw the Killing Fields back in 1984 I had read some of the reviews. Many reviews were rating this film as a love story. I went to see it just to find out what they were talking about. The first twenty minutes was a bit long but then it begun to warm up. The Cambodian situation was dreadful and certainly not a part of history anyone can be proud about. The Americans did nothing to help the people of Cambodia and it seem to be a repeat of Vitnam all over again. As you get into the film, you begin to sense that both Pran and Sydney were in a very dangerous situation. The French Embassy scene was the most heart rendering moment of the film. The reviews were right. It was a love story. I rate this film as one of the best films of all time. There was nothing "Hollywood" on it's label. It was gritty, dramatic, and very sad yet it was a true story which does have a happy ending.
Supernatural (2005)
Supernatural is brilliant
As someone who doesn't like American television shows I just happen to come across an episode of this series one night just before going to bed. I watched it for a few minutes thinking this is the usual pile of rubbish imported for late night viewing. I was impressed. In fact I was looking at the television page wondering what the hell I have been missing. I am hard to please when it come to good quality television. This show (I am not keen on Horror genre) is brilliant. There are so many twists and turns that you can not predict the plot. There is always a surprise. And the love between the two brother has me in tears. I confess I am now a fan of this show and I am don't like any old rubbish on television. If you have not seen it then please watch one episode. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
Dogpound Shuffle (1975)
Nice little film (Spoiler)
I found a video of this film recently on E-bay and I must admit I really loved it. The relationship between Ron Moody and David Soul was about two losers, one of which (Ron Moody) lost a dog who turned up at the local pound and needed to use the other guy (David Soul) to get him out of the Pound by working as a double act and begging for money in local Bars. They are seen by a rich guy and is impressed by their act and invites them to a party to show off their act to his guests. Ron Moody, then has the money to free his dog from the Pound. When he turns up at the Pound the dog has been sold to a loving family. Upset and distress, he tell David Soul that he does not want to go into partnership with their double act and David Soul goes on his way! Then Ron Moody decides to go to the Pound to get the address of the new family who bought the dog. Thinking that this will be easy he comes across the attendant who calls the police. David Soul had followed Ron Moody and there is a fight involving the attendant and David Soul and the address is retrieved so they can both find the dog. The dog is then rescued by our two heros ! All I can say it is a very nice gentle film. I hope one day it will be out on DVD as it is one of my favourite films.
