The Wonder (2022)
Odd Bookends
The beginning, and the end were very puzzling and odd, however, the in-between was great stuff. Florence Pugh was exceptional as the English nurse who comes to investigate the phenomenon. Her portrayal of a young woman who has lost both her husband and child, is filled with grief, sadness and maybe even guilt.
The background of Ireland in the later 1800's is perfect for such a story. It was dark and dreary times. I imagine a community during these times were primed to believe in a miracle especially one based around a young girl; the very image of purity and virtue. The belief in the committee's knowledge and faith lends to community's ability to unquestionably believe in there own local miracle.
The Gray Man (2022)
Pain to watch
Tired story, poor writing (what little conversation there is) and one fight scene after another...Boring and sad
Been done one to many times by far better writers and actors! Best part was the young actress who played Claire.
Clarice: Ghosts of Highway 20 (2021)
Timeline error
The series starts about a year after "Thr Silence of the Lambs" which was in 1991. So now Clarice is working cases in 1992. However in this episode the FBI keep referring to not causing another Waco. The Waco incident took place in February of 1993. Meaning Waco had not happening yet when Clarice and the FBI try to stop the militant group.
This Is Us: Strangers: Part Two (2020)
Part Two?
Where's Strangers Part One? I'm confused?? Is it connected to an episode from the past?
Shameless: Lost (2019)
Deb's story line
It seems the longer this show is running the less funny it is becoming. It's far more serious and trying to teach us values instead of being a show to laugh and be entertained. The storyline this year of Deb is disappointing. It seems like her becoming a welder was a positive part of her life. She used to be the goofy one and lighthearted. Just because she's had a baby it doesn't mean she needs to become brooding and dark. I especially don't like the writers turning her into a bisexual character. I mean what are the odds or likelihood that one crazy family would have two LGBT characters in the same family.
