Spook Bridge (2017)
Impressive and original
I went to the Friday night showing. A little disappointed that I couldn't find a better seat. I showed up after the guy was talking on stage. The auditorium was packed. I found out the place seated 1200 people. Damn. As soon as the trailers were over (finally...) the movie started. Right off I realized the quality of the film was much better than I figured. Something else shocked me as well. The movie kept my interest. The special effects were surprisingly good. I noticed the audience reactions how they screamed a the scary moments and laughed at the funny moments. I can go on but I have to admit, I went to see this movie skeptical and full of doubt. I left surprised and pleased. I was impressed by the fact that the story was very interesting and the quality of the film and acting was really good. This is my personal take. It seems some are writing to discredit the film in some way. I disagree with their comments. I probably wouldn't have rated this a 10 but after reading some of the comments I thought this film wasn't as bad as what they wrote. So there. 10 it is. Good luck with the film.
And, There You Are (2010)
Funny & Bizarre. That's what I love about Filmmaking.
While visiting my friends in New York, I saw this DVD in their library of movies. I was curious as one of my friends mentioned it was a low budget film and was actually on Netflix. As an Indie film lover, I had to watch. OK. Yes its obviously low budget. But I have to give this film a 10 for originality if nothing else. I have never heard of this type of relationship. The guy, Ray Dalton, doesn't just have one fling but several. We were laughing like crazy. It is a bizarre film and extremely entertaining. The Southern accent is cool. Funny, strange, bizarre, low budget, gutsy, silly, did I mention funny and bizarre? Hell, way to go. That's what I love about filmmaking.
