They could've used this episode to show Riker's backstory, his childhood perhaps, and his relationship with his father. Instead they showed a mishmash of scenes from previous episodes. Such a waste of a great idea for an episode.

Interesting story but they dragged it on for too long. It feels like they could have told the whole story in 30 minutes, but they wanted to make a movie out of it. The slowest movie I've ever seen.
