The Choice (2016)
A Once In A Blue Moon Movie
Nicholas Sparks delivers the heart for this great film. Maggie Grace, Teresa Palmer, and Ben Walker bring the air of life to this performance. This film is a rarity among the single word profanity rants that flood the consumer in these days. Ross Katz should be properly recognized for weaving this journey of so many emotions. Movies are to draw the viewer into the tale, not to regurgitate on movie goers the vomit of lazy, ignorant words of disgust. This story takes the audience and delivers a buffet of so many human trials. Great story, great acting, great direction, great delivery without all the status quo vocabulary of filth.
1899 (2022)
Too Much as Sci-Fi.
Stunning acting by many actors in this series. Their discipline is what kept the episodes entertaining. Complex, deep, and passionate portrayals are the life of this tale. The multilingual and multinational case was unique and genuine.
Less is more, though. Too much, too many, and too different were the kitchen sink after kitchen sink of sci-fi novelties. The only think missing was a King Kong and Jason. There was a great story but the story line was jammed up with just too many gimmicks and it was just too distracting. The plot just kept running and ruining itself. The passageways were a new and interesting feature, but the crystals were just odd.
Out of Death (2021)
Cheap Presentation
Any film that the dialog is made up of 75% of the "F" word, that just sheds light on a movie made quickly with no depth in the writing. The next thing to gives way to cheapness, is story line, barf, then acting, weak. Horrible presentation.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive: Down to the Wire (2021)
Crescendo to PC
Episodes 8 and 9 were on a roll. Excited to end the season with a crescendo to 10. And then came 10. Right into the sewer with the PC convolution. This opulent industry HAS to gather the PC money. That's all it was about. Yawn...
Designated Survivor (2016)
Three is Not a Charm
After two seasons of witty, clever, high level thinking and strategizing by the characters, this third year we woke up to a bi-polar, wretched, personality disordered actors. Good script has been replaced with the New Hollywood writing, which consists of mainly the vomit of using the f word ad nauseam. Netflix took a great idea and turned into, well, Hollywood, with all its self loathing indulgences.
The Good Doctor: Irresponsible Salad Bar Practices (2021)
Horrible Season
This season's under-doctor actors are dull, bland, and without any personality. They are more annoying than entertaining. Also this season's writing is forced, sketchy, and unintelligent. It's like a junior high English class took over. And this episode is by far the worst. "Says the white man." And, "good, only people of color in the operating room and no white people talking down to me." This is not just bad application of political correctness. It's now just become hateful. Once a hallmark show. Great show. Now it goes in the bone pile. Insulting and prejudicial is not how to keep an viewership.
