Shut Him Down: The Rise of Jordan Peterson (2018)
Different side
I'm a 'follower' of Dr. Peterson, so the content of this documentary was mostly not new. What I really found interesting and enlightening was to see his family and friends in it, it totally gave a new perspective of his life.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018)
I was interested...and then I wasn't.
I wanted to give it a shot because in here I saw a 8.1 rating and that pushed me to watch. I didn't mind the feminist BS (nowadays we just have to put up with it everywhere), but what utterly bothered me is the stiffness of the whole thing. The overly worked and cliche images (houses, cars, fog, costumes, etc) ... and apart from that, the most action we've got is a stupid court argument... quite a pathetic one to be honest. And there hasn't been that much of magic to be honest. There were some cute images (dancing in the halloween party) but that's it.
I got to the 3rd but not sure if I'll continue.
Insatiable (2018)
Funny as hell - Not for the politically correct
I was apprehensive after I saw the polemics about the alleged "Fat shaming" ( we see the show and we realize how it is NOT fat shaming AT ALL) and the trailer. I didn't know what to expect. But then I started watching it, and it just happens to be a very funny show. It is not for the politically correct though, it's not for those who like to call "full figured" or "curvy" to fat people. It's kitsch, over the top, and hillarious as hell.
Give it a shot.
Impulse (2018)
Catfish - Not at all what it looks like as a show
I wanted to give it a shot because I like sci-fi shows and I think canadian-filmed series have a tendency of being well done.
The series starts ok, up to the point when there's the alleged sexual assault. After that, it's all about it, misandry is evident, and no sci-fi at all.
I agree with some here that say is not a teenage drama, it's more of a politically correct teenage sci-fi attempt.
Disappointed.
