Humanoids from the Deep (1980)
I HATE THE TITLE but not a bad movie!
I HATE THE TITLE
but not a bad movie!
It's actually a pretty well done film for its time that I think deserves a look at. It gives the Spielberg vibe, and that isn't an easy task for most films of its time to say!
The directing is actually pretty well done. The story needs a bit of work, for sure, however, the acting is quite good and the special effects are almost part to that of Jaws.... I said almost.... but not bad.
The movie has a underlying principle that is subtle, unless your a fisherman during those times of course. Out of a 10, I'd give this a B rating of a 7. A decent horror film if Jaws was half-man.
13 Nights of Elvira: Puppetmaster (2014)
A Hidden Little Death is found in the Scenes!!!
When you hear the moaning of the lady crawling towards the elevator, you have to stop and wonder... if that actress ever thought in a million years that Elvira would be a much better Star than she could possibly ever climax to become? ...Even before she made you more popular than a sound edit would?!
I love this movie. It's free right now on VUDU.
The Tangle (2019)
What a refreshingly inteligent experience!
Fantastic movie. Touches both the mind and heart in creative articulates of words and imagination. I'm just a sucker for poetry.
Very well done. Easy to understand, not so easy to explain.
Brava!
Vampire Assassin (2005)
A great B movie for "date" night!
It's not a, "Low Budget" film,
It's a, NO BUDGET film!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Looking for the right kind of "MAKE-OUT" B movie?
This movie not only sets the mood, it also gives you no reason to watch the movie!
As you make out to another great B movie worth remembering that special moment, you will also find this movie brings many moments of breath in between; Laghter without having to watch a thing...😈💕
As scenes pop-up, you'll both stop to laugh your "arses" off, and allowing you both to breath, for a moment in between, before you take it to the next level!!! Because you want..
To see it to the end-kind of B movie.
This is your perfect date movie!!!
I recommend this weekend to share it with that special... "one"!
🤣❤🤣❤🤣❤🤣❤
Watch it now on Amazon Prime Video.
Loki (2021)
Talk about facing your demons!
Olson brings an influential role in this redemption story that speaks to the character's soul, Loki, and connects with the audience on a very personal level. Well done!
I look forward to watching more as they release each episode. It's really up to Hiddelston on just how he honors Loki and the Marvel People that came before him.
I would love to see him shine with a great sacrifice made for his brother and show a side of forgiveness and humility that the world needs to see as well. Perhaps even allowing a more incredible motion picture to see a favorite character of mine redefined to be something so much more.
You can catch Loki on Disney+. It has excellent potential for a powerful story.
Monster Hunter (2020)
DANGEROUSLY OVER-THE-TOP AND RAISES EYEBROWS...
I was not looking for a reason not to like this movie, quite the opposite. A huge red flag beckoned me as I watched the scenes progress before my eyes. I felt dread watching how far Milla Jovovich went for her role and how far she could go beyond the movie magic and stunts. It was impressive and also quite dark to see.
Although I feel she meant to deliver a strong message that women can do anything, I also believe she did not need to go to such dangerous extremes of acting to prove herself in order to make this point!
Jovovich earned her paycheck, but I'm not sure if the extreme methods she was allowed to pursue to prove herself and her message are morally something to support for the sake of future upcoming stars.
Then again, I'm just a passionate movie watcher, not a real movie critic.
Love and Monsters (2020)
AN AMAZINGLY WELL DONE MOVIE JUST IN TIME TO REMIND US OF THE THINGS THAT MATTER MOST!!!
What a fantastic Movie!!!!
The director of this movie truly reminded Hollywood of the important responsibility of taking care of each other like family, including their actors and all the supporting people in films to not let them go too far.
It's a great reminder that can be used in response to the negligent acts of people in authority like directors abusing their ethical duty to protect the ones that entrust their lives to them.
Sometimes the unintentional results of a rogue actor/actress trying to prove themself can hurt themselves and those with them as well. Kudo's to Dir. Michal Matthews for carrying everyone to the finish line and also while teaching a valuable lesson to a very good and dedicated young man.
And Kudos to Dylan O'Brien for stepping up to do the right thing for his fellow actors and supporting people for his role. He is doing a hell of a job of acting! I see great things from him in the future!
Watch and decide for yourself. Great movie! Great Morals. Good Job!
