The Lost City (2022)
First Feature Length TikTok EVER
As the trailers left me wondering if I'd been so inebriated that I'd missed any mention of a plot, I find comfort in confirming that my impression actually checked out. There is no plot. Indeed, this film is a kaleidoscope of things happening until they don't anymore. Then it ends.
The film mercilessly begins by offering no more than.0001352 teaspoon of character development. Tidbits of their backgrounds are offered up throught the course of the film, but the window of opportunity to care for a character's arc (or even the pseudo-plot) is nailed and cemented shut.
The attempted on-screen chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum was probably the only humourous aspect of the film. I'm unsure of the reasoning behind Daniel Radcliffe's casting, but...he's there. Brad Pitt is in there, too.
In the end, I left the theater feeling as though I'd stumbled upon a Miss Congeniality + 21 Jump Street + Jumanji TikTok challenge. And that's fine. I guess.
Doubting Thomas (2018)
What in the lack of forethought hayle?
I seriously hope I NEVER see this movie again. I'm hoping to learn that McFadden decided to be a stellar librarian and has left the film industry alone. We don't deserve this...
Knock Knock (2015)
What in the poorly designed hell did I watch?
I don't even know where to begin. It was just... A horrible film. It can't even be catergorized as "campy". This film did everything it could've possible do e to make even Keanu seem like a terrible actor. I don't want this movie to happen to anyone I have even a modicum of respect for.
