The Grand Seduction (2013)
I love a good scandal, I learned something about small towns and it was a great film.
It seams like every movie has to be a 'grand production' to make it in front of us. Grand locations, super movie stars, etc. I love when I learn about intimate things. Like how this small harbor town lives and works and survives. And when it gets down to it, movies are stories and characters about people. And what those people will do in a 'situation' this defiantly a situation. I also love a good scandal. As sleepy a town it is, there is a lot going on. The writing is awesome. Favorite line in the end when the the auditors say "did he say 124?" the old man said; 224' brilliant!' The timing in acting. It also had some spy element with a hilarious twist on how they got their information. It's radically funny to use spy technology to this use. Anyway, it's just a great movie. -Stacy Poulos.
Hidden Figures (2016)

Wow, flawless! Acting, Filming and story, all the way down to the props. I loved it, choked me up many times. What a great story and Herstory lesson. Can't believed it took me this long, but it was on my bucket list to watch. I have a ton of old cameras, mics, and basic media, so I really loved how everything was meticulously thought out. The story was a beautiful triumph. Especially in a time and movement of #BlackLivesMatter every single person in America should watch this. It should be shown in schools. And the charters in it were so great too. I want to see a sequel. Thank you! for a great movie!

Behind the Light: A Mashup Documentary (2018)
The best part about this one, small but mighty!
Sarah Smith is a very powerful and heartfelt Toronto, Canada rocker. I would compare her Pop Rock music to someone like Melissa Etheridge. She is fun with a crowd and her fans love her world wide as she tours Europe, Canada, and USA. The music video production 'Into the light' was never intended to be a 'documentary,' but it just kept evolving and growing into this this inspiring story 'Behind the light'. Unless you're in the film business would you know how it's nearly impossible to share a marque with a first run movie, first week AND with Lucas Film! What!? Series of events always lead us to, this was a special production; World wide recognition, 11 awards, (including winning IMDb qualifying festivals) sharing a marque with Lucas films! Crazy good things happened. While we were winning awards, Sarah played on stage with a Rolling Stone! She is a bad ass. We ended up in the news and publications around the world. A small but mighty crew of four, unless you include Sarah as crew, who had to help carry the gear down a rocky hill. So many blessings. At the time California was experiencing a 4 year drought, we film inside a nearly dry water way tunnel. Less than a week after we filmed in it, the tunnel was flooded. Just missed the storm. We had one and a half days to film her. Tight budget and even tighter time schedule. No room for mistakes, we pulled it off. Whew! And now IMDb. Legit. What a great story for a filmmaker and musician's journey. I personally love behind the scenes films and this is a good one. The best part about this one, small but mighty! Enjoy, Stacy Poulos Director
