New Girl (2011)
One of the most amazing underrated sitcoms of all time!!!
A woman moves into a loft with three male roommates after a breakup. It seems simple but I can't articulate enough just how great this show is. All seven seasons are simply awesome. It is not only consistently hilarious but also so much more than that. Every character is great. Of course you'll have your favorite but each character is funny and likable in their own way which is one of the reasons the show works so well. When you have an ensemble cast with no weak link, which is rare, you have a very high floor and am even higher ceiling.
Zooey Deschanel is phenomenal as the lead Jess. She is goofy, quirky, witty, adorable and has a big heart. She is impossible not to root for in everything she does. Her relationship with Nick steals the show in my opinion. The will they - won't they between them and the way they care for eachother hits you right in the feels throughout the entire series. Which takes me to Nick, portrayed by Jake Johnson. Hands down my favorite character in the show. He is not only hilarious but it's the way Jake Johnson delivers the comedy, as well as the emotional stuff, that makes his character so special. Most would probably say Schmidt is the funniest character in the show, portrayed by Max Greenfield, and I couldn't really disagree with them. Schmidt is much like the Barney Stinson or Dwight Shrute of the show in the sense he is the hilarious supporting actor who's lines are always quotable and who's character you're always waiting for to come back on screen.
The other characters, Winston and Coach and Cece, are all amazing in their own right as well. Every episode is fantastic and different and the characters take you on this hilarious yet emotional rollercoaster that never let's up. I highly recommend it to anybody and everybody and I promise if you give it a chance you will more than likely find yourself coming back for more. I only give it 10 stars because that was the limit
The 100: Nevermore (2016)
Excellent episode. Fans need to stop whining...
I thought this was hands down one of the better episodes of the season for a number of reasons. I rarely write reviews but after seeing all of the negative reviews from the so called "fan base" so I just had to chime in.
First off the acting in this episode was phenomenal, especially by Lindsey. Her portrayal of Raven has never been better as she's given the opportunity to display such a range of emotion in this episode. From trying to hurt herself physically to trying to hurt the others emotionally to simply that creepy blank stare while under the control of Alie.. Amazing on her part.
Secondly, I've seen people complaining about Monty having to shoot his mother Hannah. I thought the scene was not only executed well but acted brilliantly on behalf of Monty. Not to mention Hannah's death was long overdue. I've seen fans complain about the number of Asians being written off as if there is some sort of agenda and that is laughably ridiculous.
Thirdly, I am sick of fans saying that Bellamy is no longer a redeemable character. He has done so much good yet the second he joins up with Pike in a moment of weakness he's suddenly this evil person who needs to die? I strongly disagree. After Gina's death Pike got in his head, led him to believe it was Bellamy's fault and in result Bellamy thought that what he was doing was what he had failed to do earlier and that's protect his people. In the long run Bellamy ends up doing what's right and that's save Kane, Sinclair, Raven and almost Lincoln had he not sacrificed himself for his people. If you ask me Bellamy is still the most interesting character in the show.
Lastly, where is this feminism from the fan base coming from? I keep seeing complaints about how the men get to whine and act out and the women just have to suck it up.. Not the case at all. Every character has lost lives and/or taken lives and we see the effects for each regardless the gender. I see no agenda here either.
All in all I feel this season, as well as this episode, has been exceptional. It seems ever since the death of Lexa and/or Lincoln the reviews have been quite negative and I don't think that's fair. You're lying to not only the fan base but to yourselves
