Mad for Each Other (2021– )

A wonderful surprise
4 July 2021
I didn't know what to expect from this show, I thought it might just be silly and there might not be much to it.

But I was so pleasantly surprised. It is absolutely wonderful, you will laugh, you will cry, you will sympathise with the characters. It is a lovely cast. They cover so many topics that other dramas would shy away from in this show. It is definitely worth the watch, I would highly recommend.!!!!!

Annoying lead character
25 May 2021
The main female lead is annoying throughout, I completely understand why she is frustrated and upset but it really drags on with her for what felt like longer than needs be to the point where I liked her 'enemy' more.

Absolutely wonderful

Warning: Spoilers
So many topics were covered in this show, the jokes were subtle but hilarious, the whole cast was brilliant, the season finale made me cry so much because the emotions felt so real. The main couple are great but I was captivated by the second couple. I am truly grateful for people whose job it is to translate tv and film into other languages so across the world we can understand great shows like this.

Wonderful all round
1 February 2021
It was funny, with a great cast and very easy to watch, they covered a range of topics and didn't force romance between characters which I liked. The ending felt a bit abrupt but everyone's stories kinda come to a close anyways and it leaves the rest for you to come up with your own twist on the ending which isn't a bad thing in the slightest.

This show broke me
29 August 2020
I like to watch a lot of tv shows from different countries & out of all of them, this one was different. Every single episode made me cry, a lot of the time til I got a headache I had cried that much. It isn't your typical romantic kdrama, it isn't overly 'mythical' or whatever either. The characters were cast so well, every emotion seems so genuine & the writers/production team did a wonderful job. It teaches you to really focus on today instead of worrying about tomorrow. Would highly recommend.

A realistic love story
24 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I've watched quite a few kdramas & this is probably the most realistic one. The way the characters fall in love, it's natural, not forced in the slightest, the relationship moves at a realistic pace. They cover relatable issues; the idea that you have to be married by a certain age, sexual harassment at work, parents disapproval of a partner, judgement about family backgrounds, timing being off. You can feel how much love the characters have for each other, you can feel their heartbreak. It's not ridiculously over dramatic by any means but keeps you wanting to watch it all.

Perfection
17 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show covers everything from the struggle of trying to get back into work after taking a break from having children to starting work from scratch, suicide, a mystery which you solve as the show goes on and it shows you romance in a lovely way. Everything aside the cast are hilarious from start to finish, you will literally want to be a part of the publishing company by the end of the season. The dynamic duo of Park Hoon & Oh Ji-yool are truly wonderful. If any part is over the top it is the perfect amount it makes sense, even the information we learn about books along the way is so interesting. The show just works so well.

PERFECTION
15 May 2020
This is one of the most consistent tv shows I've ever seen & over six whole seasons. The season finale's are big, the twists, the secrets, the murders are sensational. Everytime you think you have it all figured out something else is thrown in. They end the final series so perfectly, I've never been this satisfied with a series finale in a long time. Would highly recommend.

Perfection

I watch a lot of tv shows, a ridiculous amount. But this was perfect in every way, I didn't want it to end. You can feel the love that the characters have for each other. They make you laugh, they make you cry, you become invested in their lives, but mystery still exists. The messages in the show are so simple yet so beautiful; "Accept yourself, and recognise your own worth. Don't care too much about what people think of you, only you know who you really are. You're the only you. You're worthy of love. Please don't forget that."

This is my first Turkish show that I've seen on netflix & would highly recommend. Looking forward to a second season.
