Bonanza: Top Hand (1971)
Season 12, Episode 17
Top Hand is Top Notch!
1 January 2018
I was in cowboy heaven watching Bonanza's Top Hand. Ben Johnson's horsemanship was unparalleled. Two years after this episode Ben Johnson won a rodeo championship. The "old timer" still had the goods! The sweeping scenery had the feel of a John Ford movie. This episode reminded me of why I love westerns-the wide open spaces, the individual against the elements, action over words and beautiful horses! Not to be missed!

Sharon's Wardrobe
24 September 2014
Why is Sharon walking around with revealing clothes on? Her character is a mother with children. It is not believable for Sharon to be dressed like she's ready to go clubbing. A case in point is today's episode where she was in her living room with her young daughter, Faith, and her soon to be husband, Nick. She was dressed like a slut! She was wearing a dress with a sweetheart neckline which allowed her ample bosom to spill over. Another objection I have is that there was a young actress who plays Faith was present in the scene. Does this scenario comes close to what you would normally find in people's living rooms? Y&R needs a reality check.

Lady From Wichita
12 September 2013
For fans of The Virginian the episode titled, The Lady from Wichita, is very entertaining. It has elements of comedy and drama. Two women head out to Medicine Bow to claim a ranch left by a former customer of their saloon in Wichita. The rest of the episode is about their attempts to become part of the community. The two women are played by Rose Marie and Joan Collins who add comedy and sex appeal in equal amounts. SPOILER: The way the episode ended the viewer is lead to believe that the two former saloon keepers are accepted by the town of Medicine Bow and even hired a new foreman. What I don't understand is if they end up with a ranch next to the Graingers why don't we see them again in succeeding episodes?
