Where do I begin with this movie...
OK. lets start with the things that I liked: zombie palpatine looked pretty cool and the death star ruins were pretty cool.
Now, for the things I hated. First off, the plot is an absolute mess, I've seen Garry's mod videos that make more sense than this crumbling abomination of a script. And among very many other plotholes, there is a gaping plot hole IN THE OPENING CRAWL OF THE MOVIE. the writing and dialogue of the movie makes the scripts for the prequels look like Shakespeare. Rey's character is so overpowered and bland that she almost seems like a self insert in a bad Tumblr fan-fiction. there is almost no world-building and tons of new characters get introduced and receive almost no character development whatsoever. I don't want to get into spoilers for those who actually care to watch this movie, but there are many things that get introduced in this movie, such as new force powers and overpowered weapons that completely screw up the star wars canon and make the original trilogy look bad. while I did not enjoy the plot of The Last Jedi, it could at least pride itself in it's amazing visuals, good action, and cool new starship designs. Rise of Skywalker has none of that. Each planet the cast travels to looks like a grey wasteland, the lightsaber battles are more reminiscent of two neanderthals hitting each other with tree branches than a fight between talented force-sensitive warriors, and almost all the ships are recycled designs from previous movies. I could go on and on but this movie really isn't worth my time. Overall, I do not recommend this movie at all, just watch the Mandalorian instead
