Sound of Freedom (2023)
Powerful and well done
A difficult subject tastefully covered. Beautiful cinematography, well acted. Able to convey what was happening to these children without actual graphic detail. Did not go into the politics involved which contribute to the problem. Everyone should see this to wake up to the horrors children face, can really happen to anyone. The tricks used to procure innocent children are many and the into shows how some are just grabbed off the street. Every parent's nightmare, not just happening in South America. The trauma these children experience will be with them their entire lives, rescued or not. So much more to these than covered in this movie.
Gotham: The Fall and Rise of New York (2023)
In 2023 Right back to where we were at beginning of this film
For a current film it glorifies how NYC returned from lawlessness and filth to a shining city people wanted to visit and live in. Those interviewed pat themselves on the back for the work that took a couple decades to show results. Not how NYC is now.
Also did not show how Bloomberg felt he was King with mandates on salt, sodas, AC etc.
After GOP control left the progressive communist who followed destroyed the city within a few years. Bet those schools are not so great now. People do not want to visit or live there anymore. All of that was omitted from this film. Not certain what the point was. Very disappointing.
The Good Fight (2017)
Tired of PC garbage
Started to watch yesterday, got thru 1st few minutes to see was going to be another left leaning PC show. These people do not acknowledge not everyone agrees with their ideology and much of what is stated or shown is unnecessary to any story. Another one off my list. Not necessary to be disgusted by who won election. Not necessary to jump into be with anyone when finding passed bar exam. City people and Hollywood need to get out among real people sometime. There are still a few shows that accomplish entertainment without obvious political leaning. This is not among them. Wake up writers and directors.
Under Our Skin (2008)
Provides Answers
I was diagnosed with Chronic Late Stage Lyme disease after 20 years of undefinable illness first said to be CFIDS then Fibromyalgia.
I became too ill to function December 2007 after contracting a common viral illness while working as a Pediatric RN.
In Oct. 2008 an Integrative MD finally was able to go through my multi-system complaints and test for Lyme, I am positive.
The trailers to this movie were enough to convince me of the reasons I was not properly diagnosed in the first place, it also helped me to understand I am not alone.
As a former member of the medical community who was clueless to this disease I am ashamed...I am making sure all my friends and colleagues in the health-care field see this documentary to help open their minds as to what this bacteria can do to a person.
They saw me go through it, they see what it has done to me yet it is still difficult for them to believe. This film does a great service in making them see the truth.
