A Very Pleasant Sequel for a Beloved Pixar Film
5 July 2018
I loved this movie when I saw it in theaters. The credits and the final scene act exactly like that of the first movie and gives you a nostalgic feeling after leaving the theater. They keep all the characters strong, and Jack-Jack and the raccoon was overall adorable and well crafted in its animation. Winston, portrayed by Odenkirk, is a great added character to this film. I'm glad that Pixar was able to craft another great sequel, being as great or better than others. I'm excited for what else Pixar will be presenting in later years.

Okay, what can I say here?
21 May 2018
There is so much that you can say about this film. The problem is, that would mean I would have to include spoilers, and I don't want to do that. Although, I'm sure many people have seen the memes before watching it, like myself, but even I was surprised by some parts. Anyway, here I go.

The day before watching Infinity War, I watched the first Marvel movie ever made: Iron Man. I wanted to see the amount of changed between the first movie with the nineteenth in the series. First, Iron Man alone is a great film, but you can still notice the problems. When watching Infinity War, it is like a work of art. Every camera captures the emotions of every character, and we even see character depth in Thanos (will not say where in film because that would be a huge spoiler for anyone who has not seen the film). It brings back everything from the movies in the past, from Civil War, Winter Soldier, The Avengers, Age of Ultron, and multiple others.

In other words, watch the film. There is nothing I see wrong with it, and the end will most likely make you tear up.

Black Panther (2018)

Why so much hate?
10 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the Black Panther last night at my grandparents house excited to see my first Marvel Movie since Guardians Volume 2. It first began with me having high hopes for this movie, and I left feeling that this is definitely why I love Marvel. This is also my first time on the review page, so I was expecting a lot of great reviews about Black Panther. That was not the case. Many of these reviews called it "another standard marvel movie" or "cliche". Some of them even complained about the huge Black cast. For one thing, it is a backstory movie for the black panther before infinity war, as the only other time he showed up on the big screen was during Captain America: Civil War. We needed more about him so we have an understanding of his past. Well, now that that's over, let me get on with my review.

Thank god that this movie knows how to make an easy to follow yet interesting story. The premise is basically that he becomes the new king of the technically advanced African nation, Wakanda, and must fight a terrorist organization that stole Vibranium from the nation, while figuring out his father's past. May I say it is pretty simple, but how it's portrayed is what makes it more entertaining. The acting was great, and also showed that strong, female roles can be done without making them the lead. Chadwick Boseman does great as T'Challa. The special effects and the portrayal of the Wakandan Capital are great. especially with the mountains shown in the background. My only problem was with the fight scene between Erik Killmonger and T'Challa for the battle of king, and Erik supposedly kills Black Panther. You knew that he had to live, because it would ruin the movie. It's very predictable in the end. Besides this, what faults does the movie have. I thought that every part of it was done well, and it deserves to be one of the better Marvel movies.

If my friend Spongebob doesn't get his free lunch, *breathes in* THINGS ARE GOING TO GET CRAZY
17 April 2018
I like this show. No, I love this show. I have mostly watched seasons 1-3, and not much else, so my review will not be the most accurate. Stephen Hillenburg is a mastermind, and does this show well. When he left between seasons 4-9, it wasn't the same. I haven't seen much of these seasons, besides A Pal for Gary, One Coarse Meal, The Splinter, and all the other bad episodes. But I have looked at the reviews for individual episodes, and season 10 and 11 have gone back up to have ratings of 9 or more for an average, like seasons 1-3. Seasons 4-9 wouldn't even get past 7.5 for an average episode. It shows how when Stephen Hillenburg came back to the show halfway through season 9, it has come close to its former glory, and even has a season 11 episode with the third highest rating for a Spongebob episode.

Sony... I have faith in you
17 April 2018
I first thought that Jumanji would be bad because I saw it was made by Sony, and because I know about their long track of bad movies, I didn't expect much. I was forced to see it with my sister and two friends during Christmas break, so I thought why not. When I got out of the movie theatre, I began to debate if the new movie or if the original was the better one. I now feel this movie is better than the original.

The first Jumanji movie didn't even bring us into the game, but rather had the game in the real world. While I do like that idea, the new Jumanji movie did better in the grand scheme. They actually brought us into the game, and they give us a goal to achieve in order to win. There is a lot of comedy, but they know when it's necessary. The action is great, and the actors do great. It's nonstop fun, but it also tells us a good lesson that is actually thought out for how they can put it in.

It was good, until the second season
16 April 2018
I remember liking this when it first came out. I was 13, and so I watched cartoons a lot. I liked throughout the ages of 13 and 14, because I feel i didn't know any better. I then became 15, and what I liked about the show fell. I started to gain more understanding for cartoons and what I like about cartoons.

When I look back at season one and I see a fun show that doesn't care much about a huge confusing plot, and I still like those episodes today, because they're just plain old fun. When toffee was first introduced, that was when the show fell. Now don't get me wrong, Toffee is a great character. He's the only one with an understandable backstory and his goals are understandable. But at this point, the show began to try and set up backstories and romance, and it doesn't work with what the show is about. This is why I bring up season 2, because that was when all of this was introduced.

In season 2, they make two main characters fall in love, when Star says she's okay with it, but then randomly becomes jealous throughout the episode. I know they were trying to have "character development", but it did not work at all. By season three I gave up watching it. While my sister adores it I find no purpose to what this show has become. I do, on the other hand, like Pickle and Peanut, because is bathes in its own stupidity, and it only wants to make people laugh. Star is nothing but a show that will try to make compelling backstories, with random "emotional" scenes showing up, making you think, "they thought this up at the last second, didn't they?" They would occur out of nowhere.

Sadly, this show has gone down to rubble trying to reach the stars (no pun intended). I thought it would be good, but only the first few quirky episodes are.

"She turned me into a newt" "I got better"
16 April 2018
Man I love Monty Python. From Crunchy Frogs and Penguins on TVs, there's no comedy Monty Python can't do, and this movie is no exception. The team at Monty Python knows exactly what to do with the Holy Grail. I've watched this move 3 times, and I still laugh at the jokes. They give King Arthur a great comedic value, and include many funny short scenes, with no other purpose but to make the viewer laugh. It went from nothing in the 70s to a classic for many movie viewers, and there's no questioning why.

Good, but many flaws
15 April 2018
I watched this move tonight, with high expectations with what I would get. I walked out feeling upset about what I saw. Let me start off by pointing out everything good I saw from this film.

I believe Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron played their parts magnificently. They both put their heart and soul into these parts, portraying their roles masterfully. The part of Lind was played well, as was the wife and children. The music was phenomenal. I almost have the guts to possibly watch La La Land. The camera angles were placed perfectly, changing from one angle to the next simply without error. But besides those points, I do have many negatives to point out.

I feel that the major flaw to this movie was its pacing. The viewer only has about 10 minutes to take in his childhood, and then you are seeing him as an adult. They move to quickly from what is supposed to be from one point in time to the next. The speed at which the story was told became too fast for me, but that's just my opinion. Another problem I had with the movie was that it became too easy to predict. I would think throughout the movie, "this is going to happen." Almost every time I was correct. The last comment I will make talks about how the songs were introduced. I didn't understand the point to why one line would just end, with no music, and all of the sudden, you hear singing from one of the characters just burst from nowhere. I feel there should have been a better introduction to every song. With "This is Me," I feel the circus members should have shared ideas about how they felt about Barnum leaving them out of the party before the song was introduced. This would help build character depth and create a better way for a character's struggles to be shown.

Because of these pros and cons, I give this movie a 6/10. It showed to be promising, but when the movie closes, you feel that there could have been more to the movie.

All I can say about Sony's worst work of art yet is: well meh what's the point of reviewing this? We all know how bad it was. Let's just keep the hype up for Incredibles 2.
