If Death went on a date with MST3K
16 June 2021
Sometimes, stories will write themselves and you will marvel at how certain people didn't die sooner. These tales will remind you that before there was the Florida Man, there was the California Man. You need an efficient team of golden-voiced, self-deprecating artists to walk you through the adventures. You need Dora to tell you where Mr. Mayhem will explore today. You need a Bear to tell you about a gorilla's dick. You need a golden-voiced host, because you're going to gloss over a lot of things otherwise and God forbid you become the subject of a future episode if you don't learn correctly!

The Best Movie In Years
18 July 2008
I just returned from viewing The Dark Knight with my sister and her German boyfriend. Quite frankly, this movie was absolutely enticing and exhilarating to watch. The acting was amazing by all the actors involved and Heath Ledger did indeed, earn his own posthumous Oscar. The storyline was not straightforward like Batman Begins, but left the audience behind and made us catch up with the plot. When the film ended, every person in the theater gave it an ovation and screamed with appreciation. This is very unusual, especially in my own town which is not in the center of the media-fed United States. This review is not meant for spoilers, but to tell what type of attention it will garner. If you are into light and happy tales, then Batman Forever and Batman and Robin are the films for you! If you are into serious and exhilarating superhero films, then this will be you magnum opus.

10/10 from me!

Not Terribly Amusing
20 April 2008
About a week ago, my mother and myself went and watched this film. I have to admit, for the creators of Independence Day, Godzilla, Eight Legged Freaks and the Day After Tomorrow, this film was actually disappointing. All their other films have a paranormal event that takes place with interesting characters who are attractive in their own ways. Although a couple of their stories are ridiculous, it is the concept and ingenuity that will often grant their films praise.

This film, however, was quite frankly, sloppy. There was absolutely no depth to any of the characters, whom in account of this, garnered no emotional attachment from the theatrical audience. Also, the fantasy element was quite absurd. Say that the planet was not our own planet and/or was in another dimension. In this case, it is safe to say that the creators would need a planet with no definable weather patterns, ie. 20 miles of frozen lands, neighboring 20 miles of forest lands, neighboring a desert.

I am giving this title a 5-star rating, on account of the creators and the hope that they will do better next time.

Greatest Bomb of All Time
20 November 2007
Greetings, Internet Movie Database. This was the greatest atrocity in film history. I know a bunch of horror movie fanatics will definitely pledge support to this catastrophe, but I, a former resident of Barrow, Alaska know better. First of all, that was not Barrow, that was not even remotely close to Barrow. In fact, it seems as though it were filmed in the middle of Canadian territory. The setting seemed to match a Canadian outpost, the buildings had the wrong design, there is no pipeline in or around Barrow, there were no real Inupiaq peoples in the film, the real sheriff of Barrow is obese and African-American, planes can land for that time that the sun does not shine, there is no diner and people's greatest problem in Barrow is the threat of each other. After that long list, I can evaluate on another problem. It seemed that the budget was minimal. The actors had plastic fangs and the violence was overdone. The scare factor was made by under-achievers who had music leading up to the "SCARY PARTS". All in all, this was the only movie that I have left halfway through and I am sure that I am not alone. Please, rate my comment of the usefulness.

Most Powerful Film of All Time
3 June 2006
This movie was excellent! It makes people of all ages feel strong emotions while watching the film. Where people say it is pro-molestation, I have to look at you in an odd view, because men trying to be forgiving and trying to save others is not what molesters do. If that is your idea, I'm staying far away from you. This movie made me cry when I was 4 and I still cry now, over 12 years later. This movie shows that inner beauty is far greater than the outer crust of people. It made me feel strange while watching the powerful movie and I strongly recommend it. If you find you have a tender heart, I suggest you snuggle up with a Kleanex box and a good understanding.

No Mystery Whatsoever
6 March 2006
Huh... This wasn't much a mystery, I must admit. You have no mystery at all, actually. In fact, WTF was the storyline, again? Like you have A huge computer animated monsrtocity in the middle of the screen, and you call it the main character. The jokes weren't even original. They were more like old Shakespeare jokes that the villain would chuckle. Or at least, something from the sixties. Wait... I've laughed at a few things from the sixties. Plus... there's a big thing about real monsters and spirits added in. I actually like the good old idea of taking off the mask to reveal some hick in a costume. Why couldn't there be any clues, any costumes that have style?

This movie should not have been released. What happened was that some guy quit Disney, joined Dreamworks, and quickly scrounged up a lame movie to introduce to children. Unfortunately, this is not made for children. It has inappropriate language, lame story, weird animation, and Woody Allan. Sure people say that this is made for older audiences if not for younger, but I hate to say it, we don't like this either! Although A Bug's Life is less likely and more impossible, it is also more enjoyable to a family. People like to watch cute blue characters make their own world, not some ugly things with a bad attitude. Next time there's a kids movie... try not to include a man who married his adopted daughter 50 years younger than him...

Nothing Compared to the First
1 February 2006
Hmm... it doesn't follow the story very well. Guys don't lay eggs. Draco's death was significent because it was to be the last dragon's. And, the content of A New Beginning deserves a G rating.

Seriously, the dialogue was simply childish. Like, "Wow," and "I don't wanna leave!" So yeah, this was pretty fake in and out. The first one had a serious storyline and was awesome to watch. But watching a baby dragon spit fire out his butt, spit on someone from a mile away, to be taught to breath ice, you can't possibly be thrilled by that.

Next thing, the special effects were miserable. When Drake breathed "ice," it was was like seeing a bunch of kindergarteners throw chunks of styrafoam as a wall!

What was this about, again?
27 January 2006
Warning: Spoilers
My God! You people actually gave this movie something higher than 3? This was a disgusting and queer piece of work. You can't even find what the storyline for this movie was in the first place! If you see yourself as an idiot, then go to Blockbuster and wow yourself with a film that could be shot in the 60s. Yes, you heard me- the 60s! You have a little perverted brother sleeping and washing his older sister, you have a nut for a dad saying, "Boom, Chick-a-Chick-a-Chick-a-Boom! Blah-dad-de-de-da-de!" Plus, when Toto's all grown up, he starts seeing another woman just because she's a lot like his sister who blew up! The weirdest scene by far was the Conclusion. It had Toto laughing and giggling as a pile of ash, it showed a chicken, a ship and a whole lotta things that are played in the song.I suggest that if you find this description amusing, you should watch the movie and decide for yourself.

Best Special Effects
16 January 2006
Let me say this, "This movie has some of the best special effects seen so far on television!" It's up there with Jurassic Park, Batman Begins, Lord of the Rings. Like, the ships had perfect graphics. Like, Revenge of the Sith had some pretty fake graphics, and it was 9 years later than ID4. Not to mention that the movie had a great cast of characters in in. Jeff Goldbloom is cool, along with Will Smith. Some people say this movie is overrated, I actually think it's way underrated. I'd bump it up 2 extra stars, if I could. I loved this movie as a little kindergärtner, and I love it as a high schooler. It's up there with Jurassic Park and all of em' no doubt.

It's a Great Movie.
13 January 2006
This is my favorite dramatization of Moses and him leading the hebrews out of slavery and to freedom. I would like to point out that there is rarely a movie created to dramatize this event, and if it's so "cheesy," then I'm sold, baby!

One other thing. Someone called Aurlb said a very insulting thing about us cristians. I am positive he/she was an atheist for trampling such a spectacular event and indicating that God channels "magic." For any other critics out there you want to support that author... don't! Most of us have been supporting that story since birth, and will continue doing so.

Worst Bond film yet
12 January 2006
I'm a Bond collector. I have all the movies that have arrived so far. They're all well timed, good story lines and clever. Die Another Day is not like the other ones.

James Bond films don't involve unbelievably impossible equipment. For nerds out there, I hate to say it, but an invisible car is not thinking literal. When barely touching the car, the "micro cams" would smash easily.

Also 007 films don't involve "new faces." That was the dumbest idea from any movie.

I really like the other Bond films, especially the Connery ones, and Goldeneye was good. But Die Another Day just took it way to far!
