A Must Watch! Please read the full review.
18 October 2018
2018 has been a year of ups and down for Bollywood. While we've got masterpieces like Padman, Padmaavat, Andhadhun, Sanju, Tumbadd, Raazi etc. We've also got some films that are utter crap! And if you thought Race 3 was the worst of the year, you are wrong. Namaste London has beaten it! The plot is senseless, in fact it makes me wonder why did they even think of making this movie. I don't have any words for the performances because nobody acted. Arjun Kapoor was horrible, I mean he's starring in a comedy film when he can't change a single expression! How did Vipul Shah even imagine him as a replacement for Akshay Kumar? Parineeti is annoying and her dialogues are one of the worst you'll ever hear. There are some movies that are bad so you skip them but Namaste England comes in the category of films that you have to watch just to know how cringy Bollywood can get

Akshay Kumar and team Gold will win your hearts
15 August 2018
Reema Kagti deserves the first mention here. She has created an absolute gem, a well balanced plot and an amazing script which has comedy, emotions and Patriotism in the right amount. Akshay Kumar is mind blowing! He nails each and every aspect of his character. His screen presence is something that cannot be missed and the mini monologue he gives before the climax scene is awesome. Sunny Kaushal is a surprise package! Just like his brother Vicky, he amazes the audience with his performance as Himmat. Kunal Kapoor, Amit Saadh and Vineet Singh have also done a brilliant job! The film keeps you engaged and sticked to your seats, the one liners are genuinely funny and definitely increase the entertainment aspect. Last 10-15 minutes of the film are the best! From the semi final till the climax scene there are a lot of Goosebumps! Music is average but work well with the film as most of the songs are situational. Naino Ne Baandhi and Rasta Rasta are a treat to hear in the theatre. Overall the film is a perfect blend of Patriotism and Entertainment. Go for Gold

Fanney Khan (2018)

A Talented Cast Wasted By Poor Direction & a Loopholed Plot
6 August 2018
There are a few films where you get to see classy actors like Anil Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao together but acting alone cannot save a film. This is exactly the case with 'Fanney Khan'. A father trying to make his daughter a big name in the industry might sound interesting to begin with but Atul Manjrekar has messed it all up. The screenplay and the direction are by far awful. It's a story that could've been so much more but an underwhelming execution by the crew has ended up in sheer disappointment. The film is dragged and has a lot of loopholes, there is no such aspect in the film that engages the audience apart from Anil Kapoor's performance. Anil Kapoor is definitely the only good thing in the film. His act is what made me sit through this whole film. Rajkumar Rao was expected to have an impact as usual but the script doesn't let him come out of his shell and he is not utilized properly. Aishwarya is okay-ish with her performance, she looks pretty but that doesn't hide the fact that she does overact in quite a few scenes The music is decent but the story is so boring that you wouldn't be interested in the songs. Overall, the film is a complete waste of talent and money. SKIP IT
