Just one word .... Excellent
20 January 2024
What a film . Just came back from the theatre and I am still in awe. I am glad the story tellers covered the entire life of Atal right from his youth days. The focus was more on early life of Atal and that is a very good decision by the makers because everyone knows a lot about later part of his life. But his early life has so many interesting anecdotes. We see Atal traverse through so many hardships and ultimately become the stateman we all know. The editing is top notch and you won't feel bored at any point. I feel a few of the scenes do not leave the desired impact and were rushed, especially in the second half. Could have been a little better in my opinion.

Schindler's list seems mellow in comparison
13 March 2022
This is Indian version of schindler's list, a harrowing tale of genocide of kashmiri Hindus at the hands of terrorists in 1990. This movie is so gut wrenching I had to close my eyes many times and very few movies do that too me. Darshan kumar has given a career defining performance and Anupam Kher outclassed himself from Saaraansh. The craft of the director Vivek Agnihotri has improved quite a few notches and he is in complete control of the storytelling throughout.

Highly overrated
24 September 2021
I found this film highly overrated as the only good thing about it is the plot. The characters on the other hand act in completely confusing manner especially Rex. I didn't find the characters believable. People were saying it's a homage to Alfred hitchcock and psycho, please for God's sake the only thing common between the 2 is a psycho killer that's where the similarities end. Reason why this movie got its reputation is because Stanley kubrick liked it.

Criminally underrated

This is the best film on nuclear war, I cannot understand why it was a flop and is not well known. Sidney Lumet is the greatest director for tension building and claustrophobic themes and he has done a commendable job here. Henry Fonda as always is a great presence. This movie is far superior to Dr Strangelove and really leaves you horrified at the end.
