I Know What You Did Last Summer: It's Not Just for Dog Shit (2021)
Brutal
The first episode was a pretty good start to the new series, but it still left me curious as to how brutal this new killer would be and just how far this show as a whole was willing to go. Definitely a departure from the original movie for sure, this episode sets the stakes for the new cast as we get to see our first kill of the series. It is very brutal and provides more of the slasher elements that I think lacked in the original movie due to the restraints of being PG-13. All in all I can only imagine what is in store for the rest of them and I'm happy to say that this show does not hold back on the kills.
I Know What You Did Last Summer: It's Thursday (2021)
Fresh take on an old IP
Coming into the show I had moderate expectations for it especially considering James Wan was an executive producer on the first episode as well as his production team. Only sharing the title with its movie predecessor, this new iteration of I Know What You Did Last Summer brings a fresh spin on the long dormant franchise. Sprinkling enough clues throughout the first episode to leave you with many questions. With a great cast of familiar faces, I'm excited to see where this series will go from here.
Heathers (2018)
Fun, Thrilling and Exciting!
Based on the 1988 cult classic, this Heathers reboot takes a very different turn than the original but in a fun and thrilling way. The new cast is a perfect fit and the comedic language is even more witty than the original. The cinematography is excellent with great use of shots and lighting! The show also has a lot of background detail that really set the scene and at times even symbolize events to come. There are also tiny details scattered throughout the show that make for an even more compelling viewing. All in all I think the Heathers tv show was a fun and thrilling show that has breathed new life into the Heathers franchise.
