Clannad: After Story (2008–2009)

Amazing, Haunting, Devastating
28 November 2018
I think that this is the first anime series that transcends the genre. It demonstrates that anime is not just for children.

I've never cried to any show/film in my life, ever. Titanic - no, Lassie - no, ET - no Watching this, I thought I was going to die of dehydration - no exaggeration. Omg I spent ages trying to just stop sobbing.

Loved the music, so I bought the soundtrack - first thing I did, you guessed it wept!!

The Nagisa track is the worst for setting me off!

From joy to soul crushing despair, you will experience emotions you never knew you had! Should be compulsory viewing, on everyone's bucket list.

Can't praise highly enough, but

This series and After Story, completely destroyed my emotions. I've become a complete wreck! Just hearing the dango song makes me start crying (almost hysterically) Nothing I've ever seen in my life has come close to how this affected me! So perfect, so sublime, so haunting It's a masterpiece in every sense of the word

Ok I'm Confused

Warning: Spoilers
Two British actors pretending to be American, why? Set in the 1980's, why? They were both living in the UK, why? Brother knew that ghosts were real but used drugs to stop seeing them, why? None of this adds anything to the plot or explains it so why bother? Why would the killer invite ghost hunters to the house if she thought they were legit? The ghosts could talk yet didn't say anything to her or warn her?

Such a shame, but this is what happens when you start filming on just an idea & not a finished script!

It's all very well for Netflix to pump out loads of original content, but please we'd be more grateful for quality over quantity!!

This could have been amazing, such a waste of money & talent

Is it me??? Or is...

Jodie Whiticker a terrible actress!! Completely out of her depth! She can do sad & depressed (Broadchurch) but that's about it!

They could have really delved into the Doctor trying to come to terms with being a woman, but they don't even address it - so why bother?

This season has been hijacked by left wing propaganda & it's being destroyed!

Bad acting, bad stories, cardboard characters, reusing old episodes (badly) - today Planet of the Spiders (Jon Pertwee) rip-off

Please stop ruining my favourite show!

This is bad, just really, really bad! There's obviously more money being put into the show. But the acting & stories are weak! The last time the show got this bad (1989) it was cancelled for 16 years!! I knew something was up when they moved it to Sunday, even the BBC knew it was bad!
