I liked the movie...although maybe it was a bit too fast. For those, with doubts...

Lucian and his gang of human turned lycans used to protect the vampires from the uncontrollable, ones, who once turned were permanently werewolves.

Yeah, apparently those born a vampire do age to a certain extent but those turned don't. Even lycans for that matter.

As for lycans & vampires dying by means other than sliver bullets and sunlight, I think apart from that what is meant is immortality with respect to natural causes. If someone were to severe a vampire or werewolf's head, how would one expect them to live after that? What they probably mean is if left alone to lead their lives they wouldn't die. This was there in part 1, 2 and 3. So, that's what my guess is.

I felt this was a nice flick,a very different concept from what i've seen so far,of thriller movies.And the mood of the movie in spite of it being a thriller,was very light which made it all the more enjoyable with funny scenes aplenty in between.and the most surprising thing was that Kate Beckinsale kind of looks nice even with the ultra short hair,very unexpected i should say.

Nice performance by Kate Beckinsale,and the rest of the crew.Two of the nude scenes could've been done away with and one in particular,where she stares at the picture naked.There was really no need for that i felt. But it was that casual theme of the movie that you wouldn't really say it doesn't fit in.Thats about it,overall an enjoyable movie.

Well.... i've read virtually every comment on the movie and now its my turn.....first part of my review has no spoilers and second part has many,but i've specified it well...

(THIS PART HAS NO SPOILERS,for those who haven't seen it) 1)It starts of from where it left off.It has more pace,this one does.... but that doesn't affect the movie adversely in any way.

2)Action is much more convincing here,both in case of Selene and Michael.Selene's acting is much better than in the first.Special effects too were pretty good in my opinion.

3)Character development although some people said was very less...i say it's as much as in the first.Only 3 new characters have been introduced and enough done to make us understand who they are.

4)The love scene no secret by now,....was well done.Some say timing was bad,but i don't say so.It's believable,emotional people will be able to relate more to the sway of emotions.It only took 2 mins probably..so i don't know why people are making it a big issue.It was pretty OK.

5)Michael's progress throughout the movie in realising his powers has been decently portrayed.Markus plays a different type of villain than the ones we saw in the first part,but only because his character is supposed to be such.

6)Flashbacks mind you are not irritating at all,as they are not as lengthy and unnecessary as some people have said,...unless of course you have seen the original 3-5 times the previous day.

7)The concept is maintained,rules of dying are not broken like some people suggested.You have to be attentive...thats all!

8)Plot is more predictable than the first but not too much also.....so if you crave twists and turns badly,i guess you shouldn't see this!

9)I didn't feel things were copied as much as people suggested..... some things are bound tocoincide once a lot of action movies have been made.The concept is very original,like the first one.It builds on that.

10)Some people said the plot was contradictory,....it was in a few ways as to what started the war....but i know the difference and cant disclose here without it being a spoiler.Yes depiction of that part wasn't too gr8.My suggestion is given below regarding this! All in all a gr8 movie which one should see,if u like the vamp ,werewolf stuff and action and concepts based on a historical background.Not for kids!

(THIS IS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SEEN IT clarification(MAY HAVE SPOILERS)......)

1)They haven't specifically mentioned they are using u.v. bullets or silver ones,considering we understood from the first movie.In places where it's needee it's mentioned.

2)The war was started as shown in the beginning of the second movie...the war the vamps won and took the werewolves for slaves.In the first one ,what they show is why the werewolves revolt against the kind of discrimination the vamps showed towards them,specially their influential leader,Lucian.Listen carefully ,you will know.

3)Kate's face gets burnt as well...i remember saying it doesn't.you need glasses.

4)Alexander Corvinus is easy to kill,as he doesn't want to kill his son,not because he can't.Emotional people will be able to relate more to this.

5)Marcus wants to free his brother,because after all ...he is a brother,in spite of what he is?How can one question blood relations?

6)In the end sunlight doesn't affect Kate as she too becomes something of a hybrid after taking in the Corvinus blood.

7)The hybrids are different as one was a werewolf first so,it becomes something which looks more wolfy,and Marcus was a vamp first,so his persona later resembles more like a bat.Kate stays the same because....come on you wouldn't want to see her with a messed up face and hair all over.

8)It wasn't that vamps couldn't become hybrids or werewolves couldn't become vamps by taking in the Corvinus blood.Only reason they didn't in the first part because why would one race want to mix with another race they hate...so they looked for a human corvinus...since Alexander was too strong.In the second part,Markus already was a Corvinus.And took in the lycan blood by accident.And Kate takes in that from a human immortal,Corvinus again....Probably thats why she still looks human. Drinking Corvinus blood is the key to becoming a hybrid.

9)Immortals don't mean normal bullets cant hurt one or sword can't pierce you.Its just that they are less effective.Using u.v. and silver bullets are most effective.That is what they have tried to show, judging from both movies.They mean immortal in the sense one won't die of natural causes.

Thats it!Hope all your doubts have vanished!

I doubt if any 'cut' version can make the movie better than it is,i.e. total nonsense.I saw it on TV and am glad i did so.going to a theater would be a waste of money!Colin Farell overdid his thing as a villain and Ben Affleck underplayed his character as a superhero.Never seen a more unconvincing hero.Jennifer Garner was just there.Never struck me as his friend,somehow seemed suited to be his elder sister.Definitely way worse than Spiderman.

Definitely the worst superhero movie of the century.Absolute hell...... don't even dream of seeing it.You'll be the one sorry ultimately.Save yourself.By the way the second para was just to fill up lines.Nothing much to write about such a movie.Should give you an idea of its uselessness.

Well,i have no idea why this movie has been given such a low rating.I mean my opinion could be a little biased because i love dogs.But the chemistry between hanks n the dog was gr8.The direction was good. People generally make such movies with no chemistry between the dog and the person concerned.It is however not the case here though.And hanks i felt did a gr8 job as well.

The ending though was sad, but then in terms of twists and turns,that does count as one,which was good as otherwise there wasn't much of that. Yes it was quite predictable,but i definitely wouldn't dream of giving it a 5.4 or so.The director has done a good job too,showing such a relationship so well,praise must go to him as well.All in all,a nice movie which one can watch with their family or friends,or whoever......
