I didn't wait 25 years for this...

I loved the original Space Jam, it's not the greatest movie ever, but people of all ages can enjoy it, I loved the silly storyline, and it wasn't solely focused on Michael Jordan. For years after watching the original movie, I was hopefully they would make another sequel maybe with the next NBA superstar of our time.

In the original we got to know Michael's family and friends. Michael was portrayed as a happy, humble and as a true family man. Lebron, although realistically, was not humble, not friendly, not happy, and not much of a family man despite the movie being about his son.

In real life, Lebron James is the most unlikeable and egotistical basketball player of this generation. Unlike Michael Jordan who was genuine, charismatic, humble, and didn't let fame get to his head, the same can't be said about Lebron. Please don't waste your time watching this movie, the story line is ridiculously cheesy, Lebron gets his son kid kidnapped by the villain who comes from a different dimension, Lebron gets lost in the matrix, ending up in the Looney Tunes universe where he has to team up with the toons to play a game against his own son to get him back.

The movie is filled with lots of homage and movie references like many things these days because there's not much creativity in movies it seems or at least people who have creative ideas aren't hitting the mainstream. The movie was boring. Lebron's acting was not very good, seemed like he hardly tried. The voice acting of the Looney Tunes characters were fine, but so much of their dialogue went to waste. Zendaya surpassed my expectations as Lola Bunny voice acting wise, it wasn't like the original or better but it sounded OK. All of the jokes I heard in the movie, in my opinion fell flat, there was no comedic timing whatsoever. The only good thing I could think about the movie was the good CGI and animation.

I think this movie would have been better made if it was either made in the 2000s or even in the future with a different NBA player. Choosing Lebron was a mistake.
