The Beekeeper (2024)
Don't waste your time
I am so disappointed that I wasted over an hour and a half on this crapheap of a movie. Plus $5.99. Everything was way over the top far-fetched. The acting was abysmal. I like Jason Statham. However, this "film" was subpar for him. This movie was beneath his ability as an actor. He went around like a human terminator, with minimal lines. It was about 95% action. Literally. 95% of the time J. S. was kicking a$$. I always thought a movie had to have a plot. I guess they thought this movie didn't need one. Someone must've said, hey! Let's make a movie with just JS karate-chopping, stabbing, shooting, choking out, removing appendages, etc. He doesn't need a plot to actually ACT. Well guess what Hollywood. He does. He really does.
In addition, they casted seasoned Jeremy Irons and Phylicia Rashad and surrounded them with nobodies that tried extremely too hard and came off corney and cringe. Again, sooooo bad. Also, it made the FBI, Secret Service and the military look like bafoons. Which ok, I get. To a point. But really? JS' character was like really super high-speed? I mean come on. Will somebody pulleaz make a good action film. I beg of you.
Malefice: A True Story of a Demonic Haunting (2021)
Superb
I'm a believer both in Christ and spirit/afterlife. I cannot fathom any nonbelievers still not believing after watching this documentary. Wonderfully executed in all aspects.
The sessions with the spirit box etc were both frightening and sad, but they provide proof that our present life is not the only life. What a great reminder to lead a good life and cherish the good that God has given us.
Sean truly has a gift that most of us would probably shy away from. One can tell he his wholeheartedly doing what he is doing to help the lost souls and rid our world of evil. Because it's the right thing to do. And that's what God would want.
I highly recommend any paranormal-lover to watch this documentary, as well as Sean's other fabulous documentaries. You won't be disappointed.
Tulsa King (2022)
Sly's Still Got It
Sylvester Stallone is a true icon. Wonderfully written with a mix of drama and comedy. Sly is right on point with his character, and his costars are really good too. Great storyline as well. Only have seen to 2 episodes, and I want more! Makes me proud to be Italian lol. If you thought Sly was great in movies, you are in for a treat, because he is even better in this television show! And he's 75? You wouldn't know it. If you are a Sylvester Stallone or mob movie fan, give this show a shot. I promise you that you will enjoy every minute of it, and like me be on the edge of your seat waiting for next week!
Stutz (2022)
Wonderful man and story
What an insightful and enlightening film. Stutz has such great insight, and really gives you alot to think about. He helps you get a great perspective on life and how to deal with things. Jonah is fabulous as an interviewer as well, and he presents Stutz in a beautiful light. What a courageous man. Really makes you step back and look at things in an honest and open light. His sense of humor, even as he is struggling with his disease, is so refreshing. Jonah has his own issues too, but deflects discussing himself and puts all the focus on his wonderful therapist. A nice and educational film to watch.
Kolskaya sverhglubokaya (2020)
May cause nightmares
Do not watch if you suffer from allergies. I was traumatized. The special effects were very realistic. The acting was superb. I woke up several times during the night sweating from the hellish nightmare of seeing .... well you'll have to watch to find out what.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
A nice blend of action, comedy, and emotion
Awesome acting, wonderful and thoughtful plot. Filled with action and sprinkled with comedy. Tugged at the heart strings. Can't wait for the next one!
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Tom Cruise Never Disappoints
Better than the first. I highly recommend seeing the first before this one. Brings back great memories. Much better than the first: more action, Tom at his finest, and Val Kilmer...old dogs are still the best lol. Highly recommend this one.
Lightyear (2022)
Boring
Not funny at all. My son hated it wanted to leave after the first 20 minutes or so. We truly miss the originals. So sad how things have changed. Very boring and all over the place. Don't waste your time with this one.
X (2022)
Excellent
Growing old sucks. Starts out not scary half-way through then BAM! Creepy movie, gory movie, excellrnt special effects and well-acted with awesome plot. Loved it.
The Last Possession (2022)
I want my money back
I should've known after the first minute. The acting is beyond terrible. The story is stupid as *#&#^. I'm infuriated that I wasted 4.99. We wound up fast forwarding to the end just to confirm what we knew. We could not stand one more painful minute. Do NOT waste your time.
Scream (2022)
Awesome
Had me guessing the whole time! Just as good as the first. It was great to see the original cast members (surviving lol) as part of it too. Great weekend watch.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
Worth a try
Ok. So it's GORE GORE GORE awesome special effects. The plot is predictable, acting ok, but it was suspenseful. You will either like it or hate it. It was a good spin though of the original, making it modern with cell phones, etc.
Grave Encounters (2011)
Loved it
At first it was as if they were just going to be making fun of a currently famous paranormal celebrity (lol, whom I happen to love). However, the movie was scary and well written to my surprise. No it won't win any awards but nonetheless it was still entertaining. I think it would appeal most to those of us who follow paranormal shows though. All in all a good watch.
The Funhouse (1981)
Good storyline creepy
Today's movies can't compete with the good ole 80s lol. Very creepy and a good scare. Not gory but still gore not needed at all. Not a spoiler but the makeup/effects for the "villain" shall we say are comical yet don't ruin the movie. Loved it even after seeing it again 40 years later.
Halloween Kills (2021)
They never do the obvious
How come in all these movies they never cut his head off lol. I thought it was good though. Lots of gore with a touch of comedy here and there. I was on the edge of my seat a few times. Great for the Halloween season.
The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976)
Foster is superb
Jodie foster is superb even at this age. A true talent. Slow moving and not horror or scary, just disturbing but good nonetheless. Jodie Foster made the film.
Salem's Lot (1979)
Today's movies can't compete
I was 8 years old when I last saw this movie. I'm 49 now and wow. What a masterpiece. The special effects and eerieness as well as storyline are superb to say the least. The film had meat unlike today's thrown together garbage. It is fu of suspense, horror, drama, with a touch of Kings sense of humor. I just love it. Took me back to the good old 70s. It's a must see for vampire fans.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Tony's Beginnings
Absolutely loved it and want more. It only touched the surface on each character so a bit disappointed there. Michael Gandolfini brought his father's essence to the screen and was a pleasure to watch. So much so he brought tears to my eyes. I hope this film is made into a series that can delve deeper into the characters. I think it would be just as successful as The Sopranos.
Malignant (2021)
Good until end
In the beginning I was unsure if the movie would be good. Then the story moved along rather well, until along came the reveal, and ah.....that's clever....then the rest got stupid silly lol. Still entertaining enough for a night out.
The Stairs (2021)
SAVE YOUR MONEY
This movie was all over the place. The monster was quite comical though. Throwback to decades ago. Terrible acting, choppy plot. Didn't know if it was horror, sci-fi, supernatural or what. Save your money please.
Joker (2019)
Absolutely AWESOME
Juaquin Phoenix was riveting, intense, believable, depressing, and wonderful. He WAS Arthur Fleck. Definitely not for children. Very deep and makes you stop to think about how you truly treat people.
Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)
Tom Cruise is a dynamo
Tom Cruiae is 56 and never disappoints. He outruns actors half his age! This is a well written high energy movie you shouldn't miss. Great acting all around. Love Tom!!!!
