History of the World: Part II (2023)
Painful
Sometimes you have to know when to let sleeping dogs lie. History of the World Part I still manages to be funny more than 40 years later, which is a testament to the writing and the performers. Unfortunately, someone thought that making a follow-up to the original film with an "all-star" cast would compensate for bad writing. If you are going to make a comedy, your first and top priority should be to make it funny. There is no humor here, just bad jokes from a bunch of current recognizable names. It was actually painful to sit through even 10 minutes of this because you quickly realize that it wasn't going to get any better and/or be funny. If you are a Mel Brooks fan and enjoy his previous offerings, stay away from this.
Dirty Rotten Cleaners (2021)
Cute Josh is Reason Enough to Watch
Entertaining enough. Seems some of it might be scripted, but that's standard practice for so-called "reality" shows. They don't really show any of the homeowners, which is a breath of fresh air since this is about the cleaning of the home, not the resident. Anyway, Josh, with his curly hair and lovely eyes, is super-cute, so that's one major reason to watch. Actually, I really only watch for Josh. Anyway, after a few episodes the show becomes a bit repetitive, but it makes for great background TV viewing. If you are a clean freak and or a Virgo, then this show is for you. And did I mention how cute Josh is?
