Vanity Fair (2018)
Poor and very slow paced to say the least
Having watched the first episode (in which I pretty much fell asleep after the first 20 minutes), Vanity Fair is a huge disappointment keeping in mind the huge huge budget they had. It was historically inaccurate with electric light bulbs and pop music in most scenes and the general slow paced drama which was far from dramatic really made a difficult watch.
Immediately I realised this is a cliche drama as the producers tried hard to shove in a romance between the lead roles.
Another predictable and painful series by ITV
Keeping Faith (2017)
5 words:
Outstanding Acting, Stunning locations,
GRIPPING!!
Bodyguard (2018)
Absolutely Gripping
The series is absolutely incredible in many different ways:
The acting by the lead roles is outstanding and as a result the audience get submerged into a dramatic and constantly changing turn of events. It leaves you clinging to your seat!
It's by far unlike any political thriller I've seen before due to the originality of the storylines
As this is a series from the creater of Line of Duty, we all know anything can happen, such as the explosion at the Home Secretary's speech which had defeating consequences, even on the lead roles, which resulted in the Home Secretary being seriously injured (I won't say whether she was killed or not but the bombing itself shows that the producers aren't afraid to kill main characters midway through the series which adds another element of surprise and suspense to the series)
Bodyguard is by far the best drama from the BBC in over a decade and it makes a very good watch.
Highly recommended!
Age Before Beauty (2018)
Outstanding Acting and Storylines
Age before beauty is unlike your normal BBC Dramas. It had a positive vibe whilst having gripping storylines which is achieved as a result of fantastic acting. Though it can be slightly predictable and cheesy at times it is unlike anything you'll ever watch and I highly recommend it!
