It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005)
I keep watching for some reason but I'm not laughing.
Addictive but not really funny. It's like watching someone getting a beating or spreading s**t over a wall, you keep watching, some people will laugh even but ultimately you'll feel pretty low afterwards. The characters are unlikeable too and there's very little joy in this show. It having such a high rating on here says a lot about the human race. To give it its due, they have done well to keep it going for 16 series but in such a long show even characters like they have here would progress and develop further than this. I know it's meant to be the main point of the show that these characters are so flawed that they cannot develop (like peep show in a way) but to make this more interesting and engaging it needs more. Don't bother as the negatives outstrip the positives here.
Aliens (1986)
This film hasn't aged well.
Was excited to see it for the first time in 25 years and I was extremely disappointed. The quality of acting was one of my biggest gripes which I couldn't ignore. The irritating characters just got more and more irritating...
The Beatles: Get Back (2021)
Magic moments.
So glad this has been released, a beatle's fan's dream. The moment when Paul is bashing out a rhythm on his bass and then it turns into 'Get Back' is awesome, witnessing the birth of a classic gave spine chills, and that's just one moment. Some people will find this droll but not proper fans. Will be watching this again and again.
You Me Her (2016)
Good in parts
Enjoyed parts but when you're spending most of the showing wishing they would break up, I'm not sure that was the writers' desired effect. When they leave each other and get back together it's disappointing, leave it done!!
Joanne Lees: Murder in the Outback (2007)
Unconvincing
This documentary is too one-sided and unconvincing. The main evidence of dna goes unproven and their argument was weak. The characters guiding the investigation are pretty suspect in their motives too. Too many questions left unanswered and many new ones created.
The Test: A New Era for Australia's Team (2020)
Starts off promising, lacks real characters
No real likeable character in the whole series. Sterile
1917 (2019)
Gripping
After being disappointed with Dunkirk, I took the reviews with a pinch of salt this time. This movie was a thrilling film which took you on an emotional rollercoaster. I could've given it an 8 or 9 as to get a 10 should be very rare but I feel that 10 was probably deserved as I came out of the film changed and for a film to do that it needs to be excellent.
