America's Next Top Model (2003–2018)
The downfall of America's Next Top Model
31 July 2006
ANTM has proved to be one of the most interesting and enjoyable programs that TV currently has to offer. After already 6 seasons you'd expect that this show is going to be headed for a nasty end and I'm sorry to say this but you are right. After Janice left the show hasn't been what made it what it is today.

Cycle 1 was my favorite cycle because the models were fresh, the concept of the show was fresh and the models were actually expecting to become rich and famous (now the models end up as 15 minute celebrities doing cameo appearances on E).

This show is a reality series but because of the editing and voice-overs etc. it seems staged and 'fake'. Has anyone ever noticed how they seem to fit more into each episode in cycles 1,2,3 and 4 but not in the last 2 seasons? The last 2 seasons have been over-edited and almost cartoon-ish because of the silly computerized sound effects. It just seems that they leave so much out and replace it with catchy background music and flashy scenery.

Race has also been a bit of trouble on the show. Their are complaints over some of the winners because they are white or black and the previous winner was this or was that. I HONESTLY think that race might have a little to do with it but it also depends on talent and skill.

Don't get me wrong, I love the show BUT if they showed us what truly happens in the model house and what the judges truly think i would think that they would attract more viewers. I hope this show doesn't end soon because it is entertaining and i guess informative in a way too. This show is now a phenomenon around the world so it should live up to its expectations

Dreamz with a 'Z'
19 May 2006
Warning: Spoilers
American Dreamz follows the stories of wannabe singers trying to make it big and doing anything to get there. It also has a president on the verge of a nervous breakdown who never reads the newspaper and a country about to be attacked by terrorists. All of these some how combine into a popular television series titled 'American Dreamz'. This plot-less movie somehow manages to combine different genres into one movie...comedy/romance/drama. I did enjoy this movie but there was no plot whatsoever. I was unhappy with the ending and how the ending formed. Mandy Moore's acting was quite surprising. She is actually not too bad compared to other singers trying to crack the acting biz *cough* Mariah *cough* Britney. I wish the movie had some parts that didn't make you say 'What the hell? What just happened?'

Overall it was worth the money but to watch it again...don't think so

Disappointed on many levels...
22 April 2006
Warning: Spoilers
After reading the scathing reviews given to this flick I decided not too see it at the cinema but to wait for it to come out on DVD. Normally I do not listen to the critics or film reviews as they have been wrong in the past (quite a lot of times) but it seems they were right about this cheesy, over the top movie.

Once the movie came out on DVD, i rented it and was quite disappointed, mainly at the plot but the acting was horrific. Deuce Bigelows love interest in the movie was a complete acting disaster (i mean, afraid of door knobs? like honestly...)

Rob Schneider returns as Deuce Bigelow an American gigolo in Amsterdam (is it just me or does every teen comedy somehow end up in Amsterdam eg. Eurotrip, Harold and Kumar). This movie revolves around predictable humor in sex-filled Amsterdam and is accompanied by a cheesy plot, disappointing acting and discrimination. Don't get me started on the discrimination in this film especially to homosexuals and Asians. I found it offensive and rude.

On the plus side, this movie did provide a few laughs but i forced some just to keep my friend happy next to me.

I am not looking forward to another installment (if there is going to be one) and I hope Rob Schneider shifts to some more serious roles so he doesn't get caught into doing movies like these.

4/10 (i am feeling a little generous today)

Will & Grace (1998–2020)

The single greatest show ever
18 March 2006
Will and Grace will forever be one of the greatest shows on television. I've watched the show since the first ever episode and as you continue watching the show, you fall in love with the characters. Eric Mckormack as Will Truman is superb, i could not imagine anyone else playing that role. Debra Messing as Grace Adler is amazing, i think Grace is the most relatable character and i absolutely adore her. Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes play the side splitting duo, Karen and Jack. This award winning show is a controversial look at gay/straight life in America and many people accepted the show as being a true classic. I am hoping for a spin off as i do not want this show to end

the biggest will and grace fan ever!

A beautiful portrayal of a beautiful book
24 February 2006
I personally do not understand why critics are giving this film such scathing reviews. Maybe it did not live up to its book but it definitely was a beautiful movie. I remember watching the movie and imagining myself in Japan when the time of the geisha was still around. I fell in love with the scenery, the costumes and the acting. Ziyi Zhang is one of my favorite actors, she is remarkably beautiful and stands out because of her ethnicity. She was nominated for a golden globe, a sag award and a bafta and yet she missed out on the Oscar nomination. I find this quite unusual because her portrayal of a geisha was remarkable. so what if she is Chinese? we see Australians playing Americans and Americans playing Brit's but why is there so much controversy over a Chinese playing a Japanese. to me, it makes no sense. this film is absolutely astounding and absolutely breathtaking. the cast ensemble which included ziyi zhang, li gong and ken wanatabe was just perfect. li gong was a great supporting actress. she was just great as Hatsumomo, the evil geisha, i think that she deserved an Oscar nomination but once again, we are disappointed. is it because she is an Asian woman that they have not nominated her? i mean, ziyi zhang was nominated for the other main awards but missed out on the Oscar, why!? i wonder..... this is an era where men and women of all different nationalities are making a change in the Hollywood industry and i am proud of that, coming from a family of color. this is the film of the year and deserved more than it got.

give this film a chance and go see for yourself what a remarkable film this really is
