Season 2 is perfection. Tamra, Eva, Jill, and Phaedra are national treasures and the other ladies make for some interesting drama. I wish I could get more. Maybe without Dorinda.

Ginny & Georgia

Intriguing dynamics, more Maxine please
13 February 2022
It's really interesting to see Georgia & Ginny's mother-daughter relationship from both sides rather than having it focused on one perspective. The storyline itself is intriguing, but I really like that most (if not all) of the characters are very interesting and I think complement their respective circles well. My favorite storyline to follow is Maxine so I hope we get to see more of her in season 2. The show has a very realistic depiction of a young lesbian teen in my opinion.

Kate & Yelena Steal the Show
26 January 2022
I love this series so much. I think Clint makes an excellent antihero of sorts and the story balances emotional grit with comedy well, as you'd expect from Marvel. So many great character storylines woven together organically, especially Maya and Yelena. Yelena and Kate really stole the show, though. Kate balances Clint's stoicism and cynicism really well, and Yelena is a stand-alone great character that is also an integral part of Clint's story. My favorite part about this series by far is the charismatic banter of Yelena and Kate. Personally I would love to see them romantically involved but best friends works too. I really hope there will be a second season that explores their dynamic more because it would be a shame to have two characters with such phenomenal chemistry go to waste. There is enough for their own spin-off even.

Upbeat, fun, with badassery

Overall a fun, lighthearted watch. I wish the dialogue exchanged between Sophie Turner and Hailee Steinfeld were more well-written (particularly the insults). The story also would've been better if it turned out Sophie Turner's character had been in love with Hailee Steinfeld for years but I digress. It's still the story I choose to tell myself and it's much better this way, I highly recommend. If the creators want to do a sequel with this I would be forever grateful.

Please return

I just learned about this show and binge watched the entire season in a day. I can't believe there will never be anymore new episodes. It's a charming light comedy that doesn't get boring. There was more meat left to this story but it's still satisfying escapism if you need entertainment. I've noticed some raters are saying that you'll like this if you liked Jane Lynch in Glee. I should mention that I liked neither Glee nor Jane Lynch's character in Glee yet I adored her as Amy in Angel from Hell.

Beautiful

It couldn't be more visually pleasing. Absolutely gorgeous. As for the story, I know some people think it is boring but I think it's very real and portrayed very well. I felt the burden, desperation, and insecurity in spades. I think the repetition enabled the emotion to be the focal point and best illustrated the shifts in perspective. It's a very intriguing change of pace.

One of my all-time favorites

The comedy actually makes me deep-belly laugh and not just breathe harder out of my nose. I love the characters so much, as well as their development. The actors are incredibly talented but most importantly their chemistry with each other is seemingly bottomless. I feel like I could watch them forever without getting sick of them. I'm currently on my 3rd rewatch and it only gets better each time. I'm glad the series ended when the story was finished rather than drawing it out and reducing quality, but I do miss getting new episodes. A big part of me is holding out hope that someday they'll have more story to tell and the cast will team up to portray the characters again. In the meantime, I cherish what was created and highly recommend giving this show a try if you need some lightness and laughs in your life.

Slow build, anticlimactic

The pace was agonizingly slow for the first half or so; I was tempted to fast forward. I thought the acting, cinematography, and editing were decent, but found the story predictable and the climax trite and lacking of depth.

Warning: Spoilers
I interpreted it as Hank literally being Henry when he was first sent to prison. I think he had to leave his basketball with his possessions and when he was leaving, his possessions were returned. At the end, someone calls out, "Hank? Hank? Henry?" I think Henry is able to reconnect with the person he was when he entered prison because he's leaving and therefore doesn't need the same level of self-protection anymore.
