I know it's hard to create a show thats different and original, but please. If u going to do something, don't go so similar, i know he technically doen't steal the power, but still, it has the same concept. It would have also been nice to see it in 2d, i know its in development, i also didn't mind it, it was the fact that it could have been done beautifully with 2d, having so many different array's of colour and wonder, that we just can't accomplish with 3d animation at this moment in time, maybe in the future it could be made better. But as of now, its an ok show, i really don't mind the soundtrack.... but yeh....

I watched most of the series when it first came out on cbbc, recently rewatching it for the 3rd time, i loved the structure of building up the characters, the first season was a bit lack luster, as it seemed to aim more at kids than any of the others, making it restrained although, i do oike how the characters are introduced, as merlin is not used to an environment on which he cannot use his magic, this makes it more believable to his actions. But with the limit to what they had, it wasn't bad. The rest of the seasons however presented great character building and build up of story, with interesting plots along the way, you really emerge into the time period. You also gather your own feelings on magic as well. You can see how merlin has a lot of diffucult choices to make as he grows closer to arthur. This is what made me happy to see, the bond that grows between each character. It really tops off the ending, how it makes sense why they left it off there. I espicially liked when they saw each season as a whole story, to get that flow(apart from the first season) how they connected each season, how the characters remembered what they said they would, that just added to the viewing experience. I wish they did character building as good as they did back then. I may be biased but, i think its a great take on the original mythological story, i would love to compare it to the original. The one thing i didn't really like is the creatures them made, as most of the models didn't really match the mythological creatures thet were orginally drawn, but with the dragon it was good to see, as they got a higher budget for production they did improve the cg, i do approve of what they tried One last thing, you could tell, they put effort into making it. They obviously wanted to make it good, its been nearly 11 years, this probably won't get seen, but it was a fun show and i enjoyed it so.
