I love Jennifer Saunders, and as others have indicated, I think people were probably expecting Ab Fab going into this and were disappointed when they didn't get it. If you simply view this show with no expectations, it is genius... Saunders and Miranda Richardson are absolutely hilarious in this cynic's wet dream... I love a show where the heroes are vile villains. I'm American, and I have to sometimes google things to make sense of the Britishisms scattered here and there, but the same can be said for Ab Fab or any British show. But it's worth it. I just got the DVD. Eagerly awaiting series 2. and 3+....

This show is so incredibly hilarious that I couldn't stop watching the marathon on Comedy Central tonight (despite the fact that I've seen all the episodes previously). I've always regarded Silverman as a huge talent and this is finally a vehicle for that talent to be enjoyed by a wide audience. I watch this show and I laugh a very large percentage of the time... I can't say that about many TV shows... can you? This show is finally something new and interesting and (most importantly) funny! This is a show I will never miss and it is one I will buy on DVD as soon as it comes out. You owe it to yourself to watch this show... I predict a long run for this series... And just to be clear, the people who are offended by this show just don't get it... perhaps they lack the intelligence to comprehend it... they should stop making fools of themselves by attacking something they don't understand. Anyone who uses the word "bigot" in reference to Silverman, or who claims that she only aims to "shock"... is way off the mark... She's exactly the opposite; just Google her and you'll quickly see that she's a huge proponent of civil rights, etc. If you don't know that she's ironically embracing all of these outrageous viewpoints, you don't get it. And if you don't get it, do the rest of us a favor and be quiet about it so we can all enjoy the hilarity...

i don't know what other people are talking about when they say it was stupid or bad or have other negative things to say... i thought it served it's purpose very well, and though the ending didn't scare me at all, some of those scenes at night in the woods did... the real fear in the actors and the first-person camera angles (and the raw look of the footage) just made it all seem very real... anyone who has camped in a remote rural area like that can probably sympathize more with the characters and feel like they're experiencing everything right along with them... of course, i was in college at the time, and as i recall, we smoked a big J right before show time, so maybe that had something to do with my movie-going experience that night... what can i say? it was college...

brilliantly done; it's obvious that great painstaking work goes into making everything appear so unscripted... the writing, the acting, the camera-work, the directing; everything is awesome... this show will appeal to stoners/slackers to be sure; but they should be only a fraction of the audience; people who say this show is ONLY for such people are idiots... if you write this show off without really watching it and seeing it develop over time, you have no idea what you're missing. after accidentally stumbling across an episode on the internet once and downloading it (i'm in the U.S.; it is not broadcast here), i soon made it my mission to own every episode... i now own all the DVD's and i download each episode as soon as i can get it (again, i'm in the U.S., so i have to download each episode to be able to see it in a timely manner; then buy the DVD's when they come out a year or so later... and btw: get the DVD's; great bonus material). HBO should pick up this show and broadcast every season in full, uncensored glory....
