The many faces of the Egyptian government, a must-see...
26 February 2023
I like it when films shake the foundations of real life supremacy, this film is one of them. The subject matter is a hot topic and a very controversial one, which is why Tarik Saleh, the filmmaker, is persona non grata in Egypt, and the film was shot in Turkey although it is meant to portray the Azhar Mosque.

This is the story of Adam, the son of a fisherman who gets a letter of approval from the Azhar mosque to join their ranks, coincidentally the Imam. Trouble is brewing in the heels of appointing the next Imam!

This is a well made film with a well-made screenplay and memorable performances from the lead actor.

Canadian drama à la 6 feet under
15 February 2023
The performances were great, some scenes were drawn out I almost yawned. I couldn't find the subtitles for the last two episodes so I bailed out because I can't get French Canadian. But I salute the effort that Dolan put into this, he's certainly a talented filmmaker and this could open the door to more massive productions in the future.

I like the Dysfunctional Family theme, and it's exactly what this show is about. It gave me some serious Six Feet under vibes, what with the death of a parent, the embalming business, a family torn apart. Anyways, if you're into those elements, I suggest you give it a shot.

Great shrink/detective series albeit it falls flat towards the end of season 2
13 December 2021
Terrific writing and cast. The creators really managed to keep it interesting throughout, albeit I had the feeling that somewhere towards the end of season 2, they changed the writers or something and they had to give each character a proper ending and it became tedious in some parts. But overall, it has every element of being binge worthy.

Boxer, a new character to add to my list of favorites
27 May 2020
Honestly, I only came here to express my admiration towards the character of Boxer, it is remarkably well played by Nuno Lopes.Torn between a newfound love and the loyalty towards his boss, I was excited to know where he's gonna end up being as the story unravels. Other than that, the lush scenery of Ibiza, what with its breathtaking beaches, the posh parties and the genuine drug addled youth, what's not to love ? Some shots were deftly taken, the plot loses the audience sometimes, but it's damn worth binging it. No need to mention that the creator of this series also did La Casa de Papel, so tighten your seatbelt and enjoy the ride !!

LETS HELP THIS SERIES GET THE CREDIT IT DESERVES
9 December 2018
I just got off from binge-watching this masterpiece. I'm in awe of the characters trueness, the magnificent script and the suspense at play. Very well done, the ending got me gobsmacked. A must-watch seriously
