Scorpion: Chernobyl Intentions (2016)

Most ridiculous episode yet

Warning: Spoilers
This show had it's fill of ridiculous scientific claims, weird plotholes and a whole lot of misconceptions about national and international affairs, but this episode takes the cake. The corium at it's peak had emitted radiation of over 10'000 R/hr by now it decreased to about 4'000 R/hr. Exposure to 10'000 R/hr for a few seconds leads to certain death after 2-3 days, which the photographers of the "Elephant's foot" had to learn the hard way. For 4'000 R/hr a minute or two within 100m of the corium it is about the same result. To put it in perspective just how dangerous gamma radiation is, even 10 R/hr for a couple of hours may lead to genetic deformations. They stayed inside the facility for about 20-30 minutes. They wouldn't even live for 10 minutes in this environment and be incapacitated almost immediately. Don't misinform people about radiation. Even if it's just a show. Millions of people watch this and especially in a show with the premise of science and intelligence may believe almost everything they see in it.
