There is a strong sense that Park was brought in to 'broaden the audience' by 'heightening the drama' (read melodrama) to draw in the netflix/reality TV crowd. Disappointing, cause there is plenty of that rubbish on TV already, its a saturated market. Few stories of realism and substance remain in either tv or film formats, so its depressing when quality books get this treatment.

This season attempts to be ultra-artistic, bringing out very obscure moments and scenes, even the entirety of episode 3, that feel like a waste of time. Side stories and random moments that never fall into place and instead fade out of existence doesn't make great entertainment nor art for that matter.
