This is a movie that lingers and sits on your mind well after the credits roll. It's not the kind of movie to put on for background noise, you need to pay attention and let it hit you in all your feels like it's meant to. Such a beautiful and moving expression of the couple's unconditional love and what they were willing to do and sacrifice for each other in the midst of the tragedy. This movie definitely became a favorite for me.

A movie made for true horror fans!
3 April 2022
Some people will probably hate this movie or complain about it but those people are not the people this movie was made for. It's a fun, scary, comical, gory tribute to slasher films of the past. This movie beautifully combines the cheesy, bloody horror tropes from the 70's with the more recent artsy touches you see in newer horror today. And the cinematography!! WOW is all I can say. Do not pass on this one, definitely one of the best horrors made in years.
Dexter: New Blood
(2021–2022)
They nailed it!
6 January 2022
I was more than nervous about this new season and how they could do it without it feeling disappointing but so far (9 episodes in) it's so good! Everything we loved about Dexter with the added bonus of all the father/son issues that could come with one being a serial killer and dad to a son with abandonment issues. They changed a lot as far as the location, etc but considering he was trying to exile himself I think that makes sense. I really recommend listening along to the new podcast so you have a better understanding of some of the creative choices that were made.

I really enjoyed it

Whether you think you've guessed the ending or not there are still surprises that will get you. If you enjoy thrillers/psychological movies you'll enjoy this. The setting is nice to look at and the acting is good. Deserves a much higher rating on IMDb.
Me You Madness
(2021)
How is this rated so low??
11 October 2021
I really enjoyed this movie. I'm a bit picky these days but I loved this one. It was fun and different. The acting was great and it was beautifully shot. I can only guess the hate comes from people who love big blockbuster generic movies (nothing wrong with those) and don't enjoy something way out of the ordinary. Big "America psycho" kind of vibes. I'm glad I didn't pass on it.
Cruel Summer
(2021–2023)
So glad I watched this!

I passed on this show until just recently because it just didn't look like something a grown woman would be able to enjoy. I got teen high school drama vibes and that's just never enough to keep me interested. I finally gave it a shot and thank goodness because it's easily one of my favorite series I've watched in recent memory. The way the story unfolds, the way it keeps you completely absorbed even though you only get more questions than answers until the last couple episodes, the cinematography and color schemes! And the acting. It was so impressive and by the end of the season you get all of your answers.
Sex/Life
(2021–2023)
Don't pass on this one

Finally a show that represents educated, responsible women can also be wild when the time is right and that women also enjoy sex. I love the realistic way they portray that struggle of balancing who you were/are with being a mother and wife too. This is the kind of representation we haven't seen before and I really enjoyed it. No one was a villain or bad guy really, just people trying to figure life out and find their happiness which is always going to have mistakes along the way.
The Odds
(2018)
I don't understand the bad reviews
25 January 2021
Giving this 10 stars to help boost the rating. I don't understand how low this movie is rated here! This was a fun horror movie. If you liked movies like "would you rather" or "Cheap Thrills" then you'll like this one. It's a fresh storyline and Abbi Butler's performance is amazing.
The Call
(2020)
Amazing amazing movie!

There's nothing specific I can say that other reviewers haven't already said. If you love horror films, or just film in general- do not pass on this one! It's beautifully shot, engaging and considering it's a played out trope of time travel, it feels brand new in the way it's told.
Bridgerton
(2020– )
Ignore the bad reviews.

Not sure where all the hostility is coming from. I thought it was a really fun watch. I enjoyed the romance, the humor, the time period... binged it in 2 days which I rarely ever have time for. Don't pass on this based on other people's bad reviews
Terrifier

Serious horror fans, do not pass on this one
26 October 2020
I'm a horror movie junkie and this is one of my favorites. I'd consider it a black comedy but definitely lots of fun, gory horror. Not sure how it has a low rating unless it's from people who don't love horror or weird movies.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm
(2020)
He's still got it!
26 October 2020
I stupidly had low expectations on this one. It was hard to believe that a Borat sequel could live up to the first but I was not disappointed. So funny. So original. He's still a comedic genius and you need to watch this film
Gretel & Hansel
(2020)
Amazing film
14 August 2020
Somehow they managed to keep a story you've heard a thousand times, fresh. The acting is amazing, the cinematography and directing is impressive, the plot is fun and scary. Not sure why this one is getting negative reviews
The Rental
(2020)
Loved it!
14 August 2020
My favorite thing about this movie was the fact that it was a different plot and not the same old junk you've seen a thousand times. It was fresh and funny and scary all wrapped into one picture. There are a couple of really cool shots that make it clear Franco is a talented director. Don't let the negative reviews scare you away- it's worth it
