Schitt$ Creek: Happy Anniversary (2016)
This is the episode that changed everything
This is the episode I consider to have changed the series for the better and made it the gem it is. It has incredible character growth for all the characters and changed this show from just a fish out of water scenario. The scene at the restaurant when Johnny tells off his old friends and speaks so highly of Roland and Jocelyn always brings me to tears. Alexis shows her growth when she realizes how hard it must have been for Ted is a really turning point.. But the best is the end when they all tell each other they love each other and David's face with a smile and tears, it is so heartwarming..
Hollywood Houselift with Jeff Lewis (2022)
So happy to have Jeff Lewis back!
Like others never missed an episode of his previous shows so was thrilled to see him again! He has definitely matured but that doesn't mean he's lost his sharp wit. His designs are always amazing and interactions with his clients are so fun. Just love this show and hope it comes back for another season.
Trying (2020)
So much love
God I love this show - just as others have noted it's funny, warm and hopeful in times that are not. It is one of the BEST series I've ever watched and you will not be disappointed!
Hustle (2022)
Loved it!
Will preface this review with Adam Sandler has never been a favorite of mine and I really don't care about basketball but I LOVED this movie! Adam really surprised me, really enjoyed the toned down goofball into a more realistic human actor - he really gave an amazing heartfelt performance. The story was also excellent and I cried at the end, but happy tears. Just a very good movie well worth your time.
Single Drunk Female (2022)
Love it
Not sure what's up with the low ratings, unwarranted. The lead actress is very talented and charming. The rest of the cast is also very good - I especially like the friend Felicia - really hilarious! I don't have any experience with alcoholism but it doesn't matter, it's more about growing up and taking responsibility for your actions/words. It also has a nice balance between serious and funny - really enjoying it!
CODA (2021)
Wow
Wasn't sure what to expect but my god what a wonderful movie! Heartwarming and beautiful, cried my eyes out. Loved it and one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
Trying: I'm Scared (2021)
Just wow!
I binged both seasons in 2 days, I couldn't stop! I am so in love with this show - what an absolutely wonderful and heartfelt find. This episode was the best by far and I can only hope we get to see more.
Other People (2016)
So heartfelt
I don't understand any rating below a 10 - this was such a great movie - the acting, writing for sure but mostly the honesty and heart throughout - all around wonderful
Hjem til jul (2019)
Loved it - hope for more!
This was in my queue for awhile and wasn't sure if I'd watch it but oh so glad I did! Very real, authentic rom-com/dramedy I never saw coming. Loved every minute of Season 1, Season 2 was great as well, even more heartwarming than S1. The lead has a special kind of charm and plays Johanna beautifully. Do yourself a favor and watch this - it's what we all need during this time!
The Farewell (2019)
Great movie!
I was blown away by this movie - so heartfelt and thoughtful! I'm not Chinese but as a first generation Polish girl it really resonated with me - the push and pull between two cultures and everything that goes with that. But mostly I just loved the story and the characters - who knew Aquafina was such a great dramatic actress. It will make you laugh, cry and think. Just wonderful!
The Half of It (2020)
Beautiful story
Didn't expect it to tug at my heart as much as it did. Really a warm wonderful story and the lead is especially good. Great movie!
After Life (2019)
Season 2 even better
I didn't think this show would get renewed because I loved the first season. But thankfully it did and I loved season 2 even more. It is beautifully written, heartbreaking and funny - just amazing!
Schitt$ Creek: Singles Week (2018)
