No one cares
20 July 2023
This would actually be a good show if I cared about any of the characters, but I don't. Marvel decided to make this a miniseries, which I thought would be challenging, but I had hope they could pull it off, even with how bad Marvel has been lately. I had such high hopes.

But then they decided to do this six episode miniseries without developing any characters, which is the pitfall of this show. As you're watching it, you can tell that there's moments that are supposed to be major plot twists and all, but since they elected not to develop the characters and make the audience care, you end up feeling like it was just a waste of an episode. Marvel sincerely needs to figure out what's going wrong and fix it fast, cause this Marvel fan is losing his patience waiting for them.

Secret Invasion: Resurrection (2023)
Season 1, Episode 1
Redeeming
22 June 2023
I'll be the first to say that I had lost hope in Marvel. I used to be one of the so many of us who would watch every movie the night before opening day, just to make sure no one spoiled the movie for me. I did that with every Marvel movie through No Way Home. But that, as so many of us know, is where the dark ages began. We have sat through the mediocrity of Doctor Strange 2 and the absolute mess of She-Hulk. But now, just as I was thinking Marvel was done, they bring this out of the vault.

Ever since I read about the Skrull Invasion comic, I have wanted it put into either TV or movie form, but I wondered how that would go. I am here to tell you it is good again. Marvel, at the least with this first episode, has found its way back into my heart. They brought back old characters and introduced new ones in ways that didn't feel recycled, and were actually able to put together a pretty good plot for the first time in a while (not including Guardians 3). All in all, I can't wait to see where this show goes.

Beautiful
22 June 2023
The first time I watched this movie, I was just doing it to get a friend off my back. He told me that anime movies were really good, so I decided to try one. I liked it quite a bit, but wasn't thrilled. But this time was different.

Above all, the music is fantastic. Oh my goodness, the music is absolutely amazing and it accentuates the beautiful scenery on such a level that one notices the beauty of each of these things, while still not distracting from the overall narrative of the film. The music is so soft and melodic and yet it worms its way into your head, while still keeping you focused on the story, a fact which I find absolutely amazing.

Surprising
22 June 2023
I am a big fan of war films so when I hadn't really heard of this before watching it, I wasn't expecting much. That being said, I found it quite enjoyable and a decent story. Sure, it's fictionalized and a lot of the stuff isn't realistic, but it isn't based on a true story, so that's okay. My one qualm with this movie is that the sound was very loud a lot of the time that it either made the background sound too loud or the talking too quiet.

I will say that I was surprised at how well the movie did with keeping the audience engaged. It is often difficult to keep an audience engaged in a movie that is shot in such a confined area as a sub, but I feel that the crew did an excellent job about it in this case.

Don't think about it

This movie was pretty good, but in order to enjoy it, you really can't think about if it makes sense.

Great movie

This movie was very well made, actually incorporating the backstories of all the characters into one cohesive movie. I loved the entire movie, until the last 10 minutes, where there were simply too many extra scenes that made it feel as if they just added a deleted scenes section at the end of the movie.

Extremely strange... but very well made
6 February 2021
Marvel has once again worked their magic, this time on the small screen. Though the show starts out slow, with the first three episodes barely including anything that resembles a plot, the fourth and fifth episodes masterfully tie everything together while not feeling too plot-heavy.

While the effectiveness of Marvel's idea to mix the eras of television could be up for debate, they have expertly intertwined characters not only from the main avengers story arc, but from the wider range of the Marvel comics characters. Good job, Marvel. You've done it again.

Decent plot, visual effects are lacking
20 December 2019
Decent plot. The visual effects are seriously lacking, but whether it is because of the lack of better technology at the time or the lack of a high enough visual effects budget I don't know.

Adaptation
3 February 2019
Peter Jackson outdoes himself in this stunning adaptation of the finale of J.R.R. Tolkein's The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I have never seen a better film adaptation of a book.
