I had high hopes for this movie but in the end, the same old story told with narration that didn't fit. It never really got its footing. There wasn't enough depth in the characters and then the ending felt rushed and unrealistic. The idea was there to create a different kind of "teacher gets involved with the student" storyline but this didn't stray far enough from that. And that's too bad because that kind of acting talent deserved a better script. I kept waiting for something deeper and more interesting to happen but it never did. I kept trying to decide if I could bail but powered through. I won't be giving this one another thought. Wish I hadn't spent the $6.99 to rent through Amazon.

The cast is hilarious and well selected. I'm hoping a season three is in the works. Fisk is a no nonsense lawyer who handles a quirky case load and office mates. Each episode she uses her skills to solve issues with a bit of detective work. I'd like to see her interact with her dad more. She lives in the guest cottage so has plenty of chances to bring that element into the show more. The writing is hilarious and well played. It's almost too simple of a show and that's what gives it its charm. It takes real creativity to push out scripts that don't go overboard with the slapstick. She did have to dumpster dive in one episode but handled it differently as well. No wet banana peels. Check it out.

Who doesn't love seeing an untrained dog become a great family member. I'm not sure why some people (reviewing the show) don't like his methods as they seem humane and get positive results. Seems that there is a lot of arm chair quarterbacking going on. And the personal back stories make it more than another dog training show. It is well shot, written and edited. I'd watch season two if it comes out.
