A Haunting at the Rectory (2015)
Worst Acting I Have Ever Seen!
I rarely if ever give such a low score but there really aren't any redeeming qualities to this film. The vicar was by far the best actor, he was well cast and had the right demeanour. The handyman's accent was all over the place - absolutely atrocious and his acting wooden. Marianne was quite attractive but again her acting was absolutely am-dram. Her hair was clearly a wig and the style too modern for the period. I disliked the discordant music, records stuck in a groove kind of thing. I was unaware of the story of the haunting so I cannot comment on that. Overall a very disappointing film that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
It's a Wonderful Afterlife (2010)
It's a Wonderful Film!
I was looking for something to watch and came across this film. I got into it straight away and it kept my interest up to the end. The "Carrie" reference was so funny. I loved the amusing characters.
AlRawabi School for Girls (2021)
A Fascinating Insight
I was hooked from the beginning and didn't want this series to ever end. Girls all over the world can be bullies unfortunately. In my opinion acting and dubbing was excellent. It was interesting and surprising to see that somewhat westernised Muslim families live in Jordan. I would definitely watch another season.
Zoo (2015)
Loved Season 1.......
I loved season 1, season 2 was okay but goodness knows what happened in season 3!!! Badly written and not believable. Giving it 9 for the first season.
The Bidding Room (2020)
Mouldy looking wall
I find the wall in the valuation room very distracting and somewhat disturbing. Is mould growing on the tiles? I do enjoy the programme overall and find the dealers very entertaining. Nigel Havers is rather irritating but looks as though he's enjoying himself.
The Middle (2009)
Love The Middle except for.....
I haven't watched an American sitcom since the 1970s (I live in the UK). I came across The Middle and quickly became addicted to the characters. There's just a couple of things that continually made me shudder. Wearing shoes indoors and putting them on the furniture, it really bothered me. The other thing is the unhygienic food preparation and not washing their hands beforehand or before eating. I'm sure Americans can't be like this - can they?! The children's acting is brilliant especially Sue and Brick.
