I really don't understand why people are complaining.

For fifteen seasons, Sam and Dean have fought the good fight. They've helped each other, disappointed each other, flat-out betrayed each other (Gadreel, anyone?), reconciled, lost people they loved, won and lost many battles, made mistakes, and ushered in a new God. Most of all, they loved each other. And we loved them.

Of course Dean dies in a stupid accident on a routine hunt--that's how he was always going to die. Of course Sam lives out his life and dies in old age--that was always going to be his ending. And of course, they would be reunited in Heaven.

The mood, the pacing, Dean's final speech to Sam (I think we needed him tell Sam he loved him more than Sam did), Bobby's cameo--this is close to perfection.

But some people just like to complain.

While investigating a mysterious disappearance at an all-girls school, Sam and Dean, find themselves in the middle of a student production 'Supernatural: The Musical', based on the cult 'novels' of Carver Edlund.

The brothers' relationship is still strained, yet watching these children act out their story leaves them visibly moved, esp. When the ensemble sings 'Carry On, Wayward, Son'. (At this point, I was a weeping mess). Throw in the kids' not believing these guys are the real Winchesters, Destiel subtext that looks pretty supra to me, the defeat of the supernatural baddie, the return of the 'Samulet', and an appreciative audience of parents.

I understand why some viewers stopped watching after season 5, but this exquisite love-letter to the loyal fans shows just what they're missing. 200 episodes, and I'm still hooked.
