Hatchet (2006)

Worst. Movie. Ever
22 December 2007
The only reason I am giving this film one star is because I can't give zero.

The tag-line of "next generation horror" really got my pumped up to see this movie - boy was I wrong.

The plot was old school and so was the cheesy nudity. The stereotypical characters like the slutty blond and silent type brunette made this movie even worse.

The monster is not scary and there is no element of surprise. If you are a true horror/gore/thriller fan, you will stay as far away from this one as possible!!!

Borat (2006)

Funniest Movie I have ever seen!
4 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Ever since Tha Ali G movie I have been hooked on Sacha Cohen! Borat is the funniest movie I have ever seen in my entire life. And dare I say it, funnier than Super Troopers. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who wants a good laugh. His incorrect use of English and desire to learn about American culture was so well done. He is truly a talented actor. Even for those that are easily offended, I think you would see past it for the sake of humor! His quest to meet Pamela Anderson proves that he too wants to follow the American Dream. And the scene with him wrestling naked with an overweight man proves how far he is willing to go for humor. I am thankful for subtitles at time when they are speaking in their Khazah language because you can't hear anything over the audience laughter! Please please please see this movie!!

The Dark (2005)

I enjoyed it
22 April 2006
As a huge fan of horror movies, I give pretty much everything in this category a chance. I had never heard of this movie before, just stumbled upon it at the video store. I know a lot of people think it was a stereotypical horror movie but I jumped A LOT. And to be honest, I didn't always see the frights coming. I do see similarity between The Ring and The Dark but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I am still a little unsure about the ending but I guess that happens sometimes in this category. The camera work made it a little difficult at times to see but I guess it is called The Dark for a reason. The little girl was creepy which seems to be a requirement for child roles in horror movies. All and all I would say it's worth a peek.
